Graphiccards overview

BSD Geek is right, G400 is a 2x1 design at 125 MHz core speed (166 MHz SDR memory, was it SGRAM or not?), thus 250 MPix/s and 250 MTex/s. The Max is the same chip at 150/200 MHz, thus 300 MPix/s and 300 MTex/s.

You could also have a "notable new features" column. SLI for Voodoo2, DualHead for G400, etc.

And of course you'll include all the various Glaze3D specs in your overview too, it won't be complete without it

About TMUs, yes you should try to figure out (at least with the older chips when these things were simpler) whether the architecture was capable of bilinear or trilinear per clock, enough bandwidth assumed.

Dunno what would be a clear way of describing DX8/DX9 class gear, maybe textures per cycle, and some verbal comment on the method/bandwidth efficiency with regard to anisotropic filtering? (As bilinear and trilinear don't matter so much any more performance-wise.)

Best wishes on your effort!

Thanks for the tips and remarks. We're doing our best to get all the facts straight. But it can be difficult, because sometimes the specs and info you find isn't correct.

The pics of the compare page have been changed.

for all 3dfx cards you can use the pics and info from my 3dfx site (in sig). it pretty much has everything.

I suppose you should also add the Mystique G200. It's the same as the other G200s really, other than the fact that it uses SDRAM instead of the SGRAM on the Millenium.

Codenames:

Parhelia is Parhelia

G400 - Toucan.

G450 - Condor I.

G550 - Condor II

G200 - Eclipse

G100 - Twister

thanx for all the extra info and sites guys!! That's really helpfull!

I also made some little changes to the comparisson page. You can now choose 3 different parts you want to compare.

We added some older cards to the overview.

For the people who don't know, you can also click on the names of the cards to get even more info on the cards!

I've collated various card specs here:

Obviously I can't guarantee that it's all 100% accurate but a good proportion of it is.

some of the early clock speeds are incorrect, but i'm not sure about the correct values either.

rage II ran at at least at 50 MHz, But might have needed more than one cycle to do a bilinearry filtered single-textured pixel.

(even older 2d trio64 ran at about 50 Mhz but could be oveclocked to some >70 )

Updated some parts of the overview. Also added a new part: The Top10

Still a lot of info needs to be added, although there have been updated.
