I just got God of War PAL, but even pressing the X and TRIANGLE doesn't give me the option for Progressive-scan. Is pro-scan only on the US version and not in the PAL version? Once again Euro gamers getting the shaft - and not in a good sense?
hey69 said:yes you ARE shafted.. should learn you to import those games if you have a nice shiny shine samsung hdtv

hey69 said:and if i'm not mistaken, the pal version runs slower also... (50hz < 60hz)
so that means you are F'd in the A twice
hey69 said:let me guess:
"only twice? " . anyway, its a very nice game so try to enjoy it. OR sell yours and import a used ntsc copy, since its already a while out, it should be fairly inexpensive now ?
Dr Evil said:Pal-version is also censored... and that sucks more ass than anything.
hey69 said:censored?? really?
i found it funny i could shag the womon in that game
london-boy said:Censored?! Looks pretty heavy to me... U mean the US version has more gore? is that even possible?!
Dr Evil said:edit: and the Human who you sacrifice screams for mercy and cries and sounds as in despair, whereas the zombie is quiet.
Dr Evil said:It's not actually that bad, as far as I know it's only one scene, in the US-version you have to sacrifice a human to get past an obstacle, but in the Pal-version you sacrifice a zombie, there is a writing on the wall where it says "you must make the ultimate sacrifice to get past" and when you are only sacrificing one zombie, which you kill all the time it kind of ruins the moment. I know it's just one little thing, but it would have pissed the hell out of me, luckily I have the original version.
edit: and the Human who you sacrifice screams for mercy and cries and sounds as in despair, whereas the zombie is quiet.
london-boy said:Right i'll never buy a PAL game ever again.
It's the french isn't it. All their fault.
MrWibble said:As much as I'd like to blame the French, I wouldn't normally associate them with being prudes - besides, don't they set fire to things all the time?

Germans, definitely. They're nuts over there about violence in computer games. All the humans (if you want to call them that) in Turok got replaced with robots, which really is quite strange, since when do robots build little wood and straw huts for themselves to live in?london-boy said:It's the french isn't it.
