Yea if it has to be over the top...then make it over the top
I absolutely hate both of those ideas. Those would make even less sense than the already convoluted storyline.
If they decided to make a new game based around norse mythology, then that would be great. But bridging the two is trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.
I'm sure I have played many games that are far more convoluted than God of War 3. Taking Kratos to norse mythology just seems like a way to shoehorn another sequel out of the series. It's wholly unnecessary. Sure, everything seems to be a sequel nowadays, but to me that's not a great thing. I'd rather see this guys make a new game set within norse mythology, but framed around a different character from scratch. That allows more creative freedom from a character, story and design standpoint. The further they get away from Kratos, the bigger the departures they can make from the God of War series. Even if it is another hack and slash game with a cinematic bend, they can change up the game play more because the expectations will be different without those stupid chains.
Actually there are more games that base their story around norse mythology than anything else...but yes I agree it isn't as popular. The GOW universe already has a few common elements from norse. The problem with creating a new series based around norse mythology is that is simply isn't a "popular" mythology to use, and honestly it'll be a hard sell to gamers.
I just got pass the Labyrinth. The gore is not as bad as I imagined.
If I were to do a sequel, I'd get Kratos to build something instead of destroying everything.
Genius ?
I'm done, great game ! Enjoyed it from start to end. Better puzzles than U2.
Only 1 sex mini game ?
Overall, my most favorite character is the Black Smith.
You mean God Smith
You mean Blacksmith God, Smith God, or the God of blacksmiths...
Yeah I liked him too. He was one of the most expressive characters in the whole game. Great acting in general.-_-
The Blacksmith God. I like his animation. For his size, he seems to be always fidgiting and tinkering. If I were Kratos, I would have tipped my toes and try to look into his hands ("WTF are you making ?! ... Can I keep it ?").
Overall, I thought they should not let Kratos destroy everything in his path (He did destroy everything, didn't he ?). It's less impactful. They should have let the players _try_ to keep certain characters alive, and the environments intact until the very end, when Kratos had to brush everything aside to take down the final boss.
A fantastic trip nonetheless.
I wish I had the option not to kill everyone in my path as well, I liked some characters. Especially Hephaestus
I am pretty sure he would have livedhad he not taken a swipe at Kratos (That old fool !). He was Pandora's father/creator afterall.
I think Kratos left one god(dess) be.Aphrodites. Technically speaking, Athena died in an earlier game.
Sorry, got off on a tangent there. I just remembered why i came to this thread. Started the game on Titan last night and God (of War) is it tough!! I'm at the something Trial, the one in 3 stages just in front of the 3 judges and darn i just can't get past the third stage. Heck, i was lucky to get past the second one, in fact i have no magic left. Uff!!
So the Spartans Stand Tall site was updated...it's for the freaking new PSP game and no epilogue DLC.
