*God Of War 3 Thread v2.0 + Interview Stig Asmussen

Its not so easy when you have other bigger enemies around, and the grapple "autoaim" doesn't helps much either.

What about the electric claws ? I didn't try it with the flying monsters, but there is a mode to throw it vertically upwards and hold it there (to deal lightning damage)

Gorgon? there was no Gorgon... You mean there's going to be another Cerberus with a Gorgon too?????? :runaway:
OMG i just got through this one, just!

EDIT: Guess not, just got to Zeus. Tough cookie this one.

I actually spent 10 minutes mashing the circle button when it came to zeus. -_- I really really wanted to make sure he wasn't gonna come back. -_-
He didn't.

I was waiting for his teeth to fall out. After a while I stopped because I figured he might have swallowed them.

I spent the same amount of time mashing circle waiting for the ending to begin. Then I realized I only had to stop

Last night i finally finished the game on Titan. And, extremely surprising for me, i started a new game straight away (this being my 6th playthrough, i think). Crazy. I usually just dump a game to gather dust as soon as i'm done with it, but this one i just want to go through it over and over again!
This time, again on Titan, but with some of the items activated. Subconsciously, it's probably to kick some God ass, after getting mine kicked so hard on Titan
Too easy, i think i'm halfway through the game after only a couple of hours, or a bit more!

On my 5th run now, just can't get enough of this game I tell ya! Trying all those different weapons and using different tactics are good fun but the graphics still put my jaws down everytime I see them titans.

I'm actually a little bit scared that any other game i play will look like total rubbish, after having my eyes spoiled by GOW3's effects and its insane IQ.
A bit like going back to PS2 games after having played PS3 games. :devilish:

Next up is FF13 which should be ok, i suppose!

Sounds like one of those "post graphics shock and awe trauma effect", my recommendation to your prescription is taking on Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 twice a day for 3 weeks and see how things go from there till E3 2010;)

Gone through them, and they're games i dumped in a little corner as soon as i finished them! Though i was thinking of giving UC2 another go simply to see if it looks as good as i remember. I think i'll see differently this time around :)

You guys are too hardcore.
Makes me feel guilty. I might replay the game in Normal mode later.

I suspect when londonboy replays U2 and KZ2, he will find that he didn't remember them looking that good too. Ha ha, at least that's what I felt when I did the same. They have different presentation styles. The multiplayer modes are eye candy too.

Nonetheless, I am most impressed by Kratos modelling. His body is very very well done. ^_^
I used to complain about Kratos' face a lot, but overall, I think Kratos is a "beautiful" character (Not talking about inner beauty here, -_-)

About KZ2, i feel like i didn't get to enjoy it - the action was crazy and i was more worried abotu staying alive than looking at textures and counting particles! - so i'll definitely go through it again, and this time i'll really look!! :)

As for Kratos, the quality of the model and shading is crazy. Sometimes i'm not sure if i'm looking at CGI or real-time. But that's also true about a few parts of the game in general.
I remember discussing on here about "Toy Story quality in real time"... well baby, we got that and so much more.

 Yap. A few times I had to twitch the controller just to make sure I don't have camera control yet. It's hard to tell in some scenes.

If I really want to complain, the only one is Aphrodites. I would have loved a full Hephastus treatment: Make her look and movement life-like and believable, like Madison from Heavy Rain. The other gods and demi-gods are generally more well done than her.

EDIT: When I fired up KZ2 to verify my visual memory against U2 last time, I was a little stunned. My wife saw the game and sat down to watch me play. "Where's the controller ?" was her next question. ^_^ But she got giddy due to the extra movements GG put in that game.

London-boy (and/or others), I just booted the game up to check, and after playing a few laps, I can confirm that Motorstorm 2: Pacific Rift is completely safe for you to play. It still looks
