Geneva Motor Show 2007

What was the 350 Z demo? (Hopelessly curious, sorry. )

Just a PS3 hooked up with Gran Turismo: HD where a racing version of the 350Z was playable. :D Didn't play though, just admired the graphics which were pretty damn sharp (1920x1080p)...

Don't have much info on the Lexus concept car unfortunately... so if anyone wants to add some info, feel free :D

Edit:

If the bring it to market, I would venture to say it will probably be marketed as the next Supra. I mean the front end says Supra evolved to me anyways. Is Lexus marketed as such anywhere else other than the US?

Toyota wants to keep Lexus as far from Toyota as possible, so no Lexus Supra. What you mean with the last sentence?

I guess he is asking if "Lexus" is a brand in other countries too.

Infinite or whatever they are, only exist in the American market, everywhere else it's just Nissan I think.

We have Lexus as a brand in the UK and I'm sure it's separate everywhere else too. I used to work at a Toyota/Lexus dealership and as I was leaving they were telling us the Lexus part of the dealership had to be separate from the Toyota bit, not just as a little corner of the main showroom.

Oh yes it's Lexus everywhere and it's pretty strong brand... Some of the models have some common elements with Toyota models like the diesel engine in the new Lexus IS220 and also the big Lexus SUV few years back was basically Land Cruiser, but that's not very uncommon in the automobile industry these days when many manufacturer has wide selection of brands under their wings.

Hmm, interesting. Now I can see why they want that separation. So do they not share platforms? (Um, none of the Lexus cars are Toyota cars with leather, basically). I guess I became confused becuase the IS300 used the NA Supra engine. So I figured (somehow) that they may be bringing it back. Does Lexus exist in Japan?

I don't think it was, I have no idea about it now though.

The Soarer used to be branded Toyota in Japan, and Lexus Coupe in America.

Well, as promised, here are some of the pictures. I won't post all of them at once, but will go through in batches! Enjoy!

3rd page and no pics of motor gals? Tsk, tsk...

BTW, I really wish some of you would consider editing the posts you quote to not include images in the original post...

Well, after the thread nearly died down, I didn't see much sense in posting the rest of the pictures, but your wish is my command! :D

To be honest, don't think too much on the new Exige GT3 concept and I'd be very surprised if Lotus brings it out any other than a limited car such as the 240R ended up, as the power is simply too high from the Eaton M62 blower mounted directly on top of the engine that will surely cause further heat soak problems... Fetching cool air will be better with the very large top air-intake though. Still, Lotus claims around 255bhp with their new Cup Exige 255 which is also an upgrade for 240R and Exige-S owners, but at the expense of halfing the warranty time... doesn't quite seem overly confident.
