Genesis vs. Supernintendo

Now there are a couple of those games that are actually good...

Like:

Super Castlevania IV, Great game, but Castlevania V sucked... It was actually a downgrade from the graphics and playability of IV!

Star Fox, Excellent space blaster!

F-Zero, One of the few driving games i actually like!

And in addition Super Metroid...

On the other hand...
Well Super Bomberman wasn't nearly as good as Mega Bomberman...

But, those other games you listed... They just aren't that good...

If you wan't i'll start listing the MD and Mega-CD ones... It'll take alot of time to compile that list! ;)

Sonic CD was easily the best platformer I've ever played, 2D or 3D for that matter. Sooo underrated! Its a HUGE shame that Sega didn't put it in the Mega Collection, more people deserve to play it.. (wouldn't fit on the mini-DVD my ass).

I totally agree. The Sonic CD data is about 100 MB. 128 Kbps compressed music would end up being around 40 MB. That should have very easily fit on the MiniDVD with the other games.

I have Sonic CD, so I guess I could check it out. But, I remember that game having an insane number of music tracks with a past, present, and future version of every stage song streamed and played right off the CD. There were dozens of tracks, so that would take up some space.

Not that I'm saying they couldn't fit it, but who knows exactly how they handled the audio (how much space it took) in the other games, too. I'm sure if they had really wanted to, though, they could've made it all fit. But, it looks like Sonic CD will continue, for now, to remain a gem that only few of us have really experienced.

Agreed, Sonic CD really is great.

Yeah, that 100MB or so is the game data, not audio. :)

With the audio, the CD is FULL.
