That lady is wearing a shiny/glittery top so it's supposed to shine.

Ah man thats funny. I know you didn't mean that.
Actually I did. You must be blind and foolish. Just look at what she's wearing.
You apparently picked the wrong game to prove your point.

Bobbler said:I don't think anyone can, with a straight face, say that Frame City Killer is an excellent example of high quality graphics. I don't really know how to explain what is wrong with FCK, but there is plenty wrong with it graphically. There is definately something 'funky' with that game. Did they forget to use all the advances in shaders/texturing we've attained in the last 5 years? It looks like DX8 style with a decent poly count. Of course it is a bit hard to see the fine details in those relatively tiny shots...

In contrast to the characters that have shiny material, most of the other characters do not... look at the fat man and the people on the right in the first pic.

Exactly. Also that guy standing right under that light pole seems to be wearing a shiny leather jacket that's why you see the shine on his sleeve and shoulder.
Shifty Geezer said:That suit looks more like plasticine than any suit I've ever seen. Fabrics don't look specular in that way. But as I say, I think it's just a basic, simple shader for test purposes and maybe later they'll add some more complex maths to define the specular highlighting more fabric-like?

I think the trees in GOW are amazing, it's a fantasy game after all, so why should they look like trees I've seen? The bark could maybe be a little better, but the foliage is awesome.
