GC Games dumped?

Anyone knows, why stores started dumping gamecube games recently. Amazon Germany sells Mario for 19 €, starfox for 34 €, timesplitters 2 27 €, eternal darkness etc. Other German (Media Markt) shops dump GC games for as low as 10 €. As most of these are regarded A-AAA titles and are hardly older than 5 months in Europe this sure is an unusual developement for a console that hasn't been on the market for a single year...

19€? damn. i just bought it from amazon for 25€ and Eternal darkness for 40€

but its really strange why the have so low prices. I got my GameCube (incl Pikmin) for just 149€ a Month ago.

BTW: do you now which games are only 10€ at mediamarkt?

[Edit: damn Opera and the "€" sign]

Well, up until now, the GC had pretty much no games worth touching in Europe, the system wasnt selling, some stores took the initiative to sell out thier stock, thier timing actually turned out good being right at the release time for Metroid Prime, so the sales jumped drastically, so many stores are following in the trend to compete(or more realistically, to just sell what hasnt sold at all for the past year).
