You just holding it in a wrong way.
    Like a x360 controller maybe.
    But ds3 is different.

I just don't know if i want to invest $50 bucks more into killzone 2. I may just try and stick with a normal ps3 controler for now. I really wish there was a way to use my 360 controller on the ps3

This is something I've definitely noticed. I support the PS3 controller on the inside of my palms, at the point where index-finger meets palm. The fingers curl over it naturally. On the 360 controller I actually hold onto its 'handles' and let it rest more on my fingers. If I grab either controller the opposite way it's pretty uncomfortable.

I know the "how tiny are you" is more of a joke, but really, is it necessary? I'm pretty sure we're all adults and don't need jabs...

For the record, I'm about 6 inches shorter than you (that's roughly 15 cm for you yuros).

Maybe I'll take pictures of how I hold the controller to help illustrate why it's not a problem for me. I don't place my finger on the trigger, I use a small amount of force from my middle finger (using the middle of the finger under the joint) to press the trigger.

If you're trying to use the tips of your fingers (as you would with the 360, since the controller design makes it easy to do so) then it will be a pain.

I'll take pictures, maybe that will relieve some of the discomfort you experience while playing PS3 games on a DS3.

Yep :) No slippage unless you're trying to mangle the controller.

Looks like you don't have tiny hands either :p

Finally picked up one of these, it's amazing how much better they make the controller feel. Not only that, but it seems that with them I'm less prone to hitting R2/L2 when I set the controller down on a surface.

Says the person who originally wrote...

He who throws the first stone or the pot calling the kettle black? :)

Anyway, I have to say for prolong play periods the X360 controller is far more comfortable to hold and use than the DS3 controller in general.

But I think this has more to do with hand size, finger size, and personal preference than anything else.

I'm with some others here'd I like playing on the PS3 a whole lot more if someone made a X360 style (shape and size) for it.

    Regards,
    SB

I haven't posted here in ages, but I just had to chime in. The GameGEAR Shadow controller is my absolute favorite PS3 controller.

Stronger force feedback, concave L2/R2 triggers (they feel kinda spungy though), longer handles, rubbery feel (unlike the cheep plastic feel of the DS3 and sixaxis).

    Two problems I've encountered.

In GRAW2, when I zoom in with a sniper rifle the target dot isn't nearly stable enough to pull off an accurate distance head shot...even when I hold my breath. It's a minor gripe.

Second issue is the D-Pad doesn't feel "right". It works, but I feel there is no room for error. I have to make a concentrated effort to push down in the appropriate spot.

Oh, analog sticks seem a tad overly sensitive too.

Even with these gripes I absolutely can't go back to holding either of Sony's first party PS3 controllers anymore.

    The Shadow works for me.
