Formula 1 - The Eco Friendly Motorsport!

Toyota are very concious about being a team, thus I think they won't take Alonso.

Hell, if I had any say he would never see an F1 car again. Egomaniac pussys like him are not good for any team. That's also why Ferrari will never touch him, they're not suicidal.

For the record, I'm not bashing him as a driver, just as a person.

If Raikkonen retires, Alonso comes first and Hamilton second, then Hamilton still wins the championship by two points. Hamilton just needs to beat Alonso on the track, which is something he's done several times already this year.

Things can still go wrong outside his control, I reckon if there is an opportunity to take out Alonso, he will do it and take the championship that way.

As an aside this marketing blurb sent to me through the post might make _XXX_ laugh

Brazil: Hamilton under investigation for tyre rule breach

Lewis Hamilton is facing a possible penalty after McLaren broke a Formula 1 sporting regulation during the first free practice session at Interlagos.
Hamilton, who stands on the brink of his childhood dream of winning the world championship and takes a four-point lead into Sunday’s season finale in Brazil, used two sets of wet-weather tyres during the 90-minute morning session, contravening Article 25.3 of the F1 sporting regulations.
Article 25.3 states: “No driver may use more than one set of wet and one set of extreme wet tyres during P1 and P2.”
The rule is a new addition to the F1 sporting regulations this year. Hamilton, Honda driver Jenson Button and Super Aguri’s Takuma Sato were all found to have used two sets of wet tyres during Friday’s first session in Brazil.
The imposition of any penalty is at the discretion of the FIA stewards. The fear for Hamilton is that if the stewards deem that he has been unfairly advantaged by the additional track time on wets, they may impose a penalty...

Again, at a track that he hasn't been to before...

FYI - team fines for those breaking the tyre rule.

.

Yes, very good point Dave, I actually watched the live timing and within 6 laps on the dry P2 qualifying he had a fastest sector time. Apparently he has not done it on the simulator either. Pretty amazing learning curve.

Ferrari's look slightly off the pace and very good performance by Nakajima in the 2nd Willams, just slightly behindf Rosburg. I'm going to keep any eye on him today, maybe he is at last the real deal for Japan, fast and not spearing off the track at the slightest cause.

I think Ferrari have compromised Massa's race with a deliberately light fuel load in order to get him in front of Hamilton. Raikkonen was supposed to be up there with him locking out the front row and controlling the race from the front, but Hamilton just hooked together a better lap.

Alonso was pretty lacklustre (grained his tyres), so he's got to hope he can do something good with the extra fuel he is carrying over the Ferraris.

Of course all bets are off tomorrow if it starts raining - then anything can happen.

Holy shit; all I have to say is holy shit with regard to the start of the race.

Holy shit, Räikkonen is world champion by 1 lousy point! Well done, Kimi!!

This race had it all; tension, overtaking, accidents and surprises.

I just have to reiterate, and sum up this race with, holy shit.

Damn I completely forgot about it, so both Alonso and Hamilton crashed out?
No, Hamilton had some gearbox trouble and dropped to 18th, he raced and overtook and ended up in P7. Alonso came in third. The Ferraris were unstoppable today.

So the most unexpected thing happened today, who would have predicted that Raikonnen would become WC. But I am happy for him, it was long due for him. He is like Rahul Dravid, always calm and composed unlike his more flamboyant counterparts.
