I never expected how hard it would be to find a job after I was injured. I have a PhD, worked at some high profile places and have been an executive for twenty years. Well that's not a good combo if you wind up in a wheelchair.
Anyway, today, after searching for nearly 2 years, I finally got an offer and it's a good one. I'm back to being an engineer but the pay is good and the benefits are very good and way less than the $35k/year of crappy ACA plans (there were better ones for half that before Trump).
Nervous about working again with the whole wheelchair, etc. thing, but today is a great day.
