of course it won't be out in spring of 06. it won't be out until fall of 06 at the earliest in north america. I don't think EA was planning to release this game in japan anyway. I don't expect PS3 to be out in japan until summer 06 at the earliest.
What might even happen is PS3 being released in fall of 2006 in hjapan and spring 2007 in NA. Who knows the rumors might be true. There's a reason why EA is putting thier weight behind xbox 360 in terms of support. PS3 is going to release later than they were expecting.
I do find it interesting that so many people on the net and in the media think xbox 360 is releasing too soon, when it has actually been 5 years since PS2 launched. That's the typical life span of a console. What if sony will wait too long to launch thier next console? MS wants to appeal to more than the original xbox audience. They want a portion of the PS2 audience that has been playing PS2 games for 5 years adn might be ready for something new.
btw, this 360 makes a great DVD player. I'm pleasantly suprised.
