Fight Night 3 Trailer

Now if the render quality is better on the PS3 then they will be better but the art, the effect and animation will more then likely be the same
you mean like the particle effects on the ps2 version of burnout compared to the xbox version?

precisely, small differences that are meaningless. Important only in penis measuring contests on console forums ;D

One version may have more sweat drops fly off the face than the other, one might have slightly better lighting, but the animations and everything will be the same.

wierd cause GVTV, Attack of the Show, and X-Play have all said the trailer looks pretty much the same to them. I guess they must be xbox fans?

"Pretty much the same" is a vague term. One video can look look better but they can still be "pretty much the same".

The E3 video simply looks better. I know you agree that the E3 video looks better because you are trying to account for the difference by mentioning the pre-rendered footage from GR and Madden (it almost seems like you're hoping the graphics are downgraded like the examples you cite).

My opinion regarding how the games will finally look on both systems is irrelevant - they will look like what they look like - I was simply objecting to the console-allegiance-filtered "opinions" on these two videos. One is clearly better.

When you a controller in your hand, the animation is always more jerky than any trailer , thats a fact. You have to balance the number of animation with gamplay/controls. Since we havent seen gameplay ps3 games, so far hard to judge.

I just want to know , what kind of power do you need for making more advanced animations ? ( memory capacity, bandwith, processor speed ? )

I'm not making any comments about the hardware, I'm merely reporting what I'm seeing. They might be good reason for the jerky animations, there might not. I'm not trying to say that the PS3 is more powerful than the Xbox 360.

Honestly that was original point wasn't it scooby? The E3 video has slightly better lighting than the new video. That was exactly what I was trying to say in this thread the whole time. So we actually agree great!!

The E3 video looks more cartoony, the skin tones are very bright. This newest video looks more like 2 actual people(realistic) than 2 guys with really bright-brown skin tones.

Hard to say but the E3 version looks like it may have more polygons, for some reason the characters seem a little smoother...

The new video does looks very jerky compared to the E3 video, but ANYONE who's played FightNight before will tell you the E3 video was not 2 people fighting eachother, wheras the new video DOES look like an actual fight.

So the E3 video was not representative of the animations you see in gameplay, they were pre-canned, simple as that.

I kinda think the opposite. the e3 version looks a bit more realistic to me. feels like theres a lack of detail with the new one. better lighting in the e3 version as well.

Yep that's exactly how I feel too.

you don't think the guys look a little too 'orange'?
nope. the new one seems like fight night met up with the lighting from need for speed most wanted, too washed out with too much yellow/tan tones. IMO ofcourse.

And IMO of course too. I want a more natural lighting not NFS:MW lighting.

I find it funny that some people have conditioned themselves to believe the "PS3 version" at E3 looked better, when in actuality that demo was running on 2 6800s in SLi. Now we all know Xenos is much more capable than that configuration, so any changes between the two versions(that aren't due to video quality) are artistic not technical limitations.

im not saying the ps3 version looks better, or the xbox360 version looks better. because as far as we know there just might be one version. but we dont know that yet. all im saying is, the e3 version is obviously a better looking showing than what we just got. it is probably easier to say "xbox360 showng" and "ps3 showing" because as far as we know, thats what they are.

I'm willing to bet it's the dramatic camera angles, the new video looks more like gameplay while the other looks like a replay

Sorry Vysez and everybody else here that think that every Xbox and PS2 game looks exactly a like. You guys are living in a dream world. You gotta wake up people. Check it out.
If you want to discuss a point with anybody, you better do it politely.

And, did I talk about Xbox and PS2? My reply explicitly says PS3 and X360.
There's a lot less differences between X360 and PS3, from a rendering standpoint, than between Xbox and the PS2, no matter what some people want to think.

And, secondely, all you showed us was that the Xbox version of EA games have better textures, IQ and less slowdowns...
And when you know the huge difference between the Xbox and the PS2, one could expect a hell lot more of differences than just better IQ and a steadier framerate.

Also, it seems that you forget to include NFS:HPII or F1 2001, in your quotes, seeing how the Xbox versiuons of those games had a worse framerates than their PS2 counterparts...

Also, just to stop this useless chit-chat, there are EA developers on these very boards... Now, just think.

Multi-platform games from EA won't be anything to write home about next-gen. There might be a few projects that will rely on each platforms strength, but FN3 , from the latest news, is not one of thoses.

Just wondering, what exactly is the latest news on FNR3?

Vysez I did say Sorry at the beginning of my post. I put that there to show you that I was trying to be polite. My basic point was that EA's game do look different this gen and I don't see it as impossible for that to happen next-gen.

I might not happen I don't know every EA game next-gen may look the same. And who are these EA devs here? Let's just ask them, maybe they can give us a hint or two. Put it this way, I wouldn't be surprised if EA games next-gen look different.

The only differences spotted across the board are IQ and Framerate related, not about the quality of the animation, modeliing, camera work or anything.

And when you know the vast difference between the Xbox and the PS2 (more than 20 months separate thoses two machines), you could had expect a lot more differences than just IQ and fps hiccups.

I'm sure they'd love that. ...Or maybe not.

Nobody is here to break any NDA, nor to deal with kids screaming "I hate EA and the evil laws of basic capitalism".

And, actually, to be honest, they already gave a tons of hints, but since they don't fit with some people's expectations, they just discard them as "wrong".

And enough with this...

Putting sorry in front of an incorrect sentence doesn't make it any more polite.;)
