FFCC Japanese trailer, tell me what you think?

It's the E3 video :)
Nice engine, and hopefully NINTENDO made them change the age old FF annoying gameplay.

It definitely looks nice. I didn't think that this game would, based on the earlier screens and clips, but overall quite a pretty game.

I'm anticipating it this fall 8)

Art direction is like *shudder*, and the gameplay isn't even remotely Final Fantasy (sorry, someone had to say it!).

That said, Secret of Mana: Cubed looks ok ;)

Blah, with all the bashing the 'real' Final Fantasy games get, I figure someone has to stick up for 'em.

YEAH, problem's not the final fantasy boys....

the real problem is the Nostalgic-First-6-Final-Fantasies-On-Nontendo-Consoles-Who-Always-Say-Those-Titles-Were-The-Best-In-The-Whole-Series-Boys....

and also the Ever-Since-The-Final-Fantasy-Games-Went-To-Sony-Consoles-They-Are-Not-As-Good-As-The-Old-Ones-On-Nintendo-Consoles-Boys

The "real" FF games are all unoriginal BORING shit anyway these days, why should anyone stand up for them?

FFX was the most limited, linear, uninteresting RPG I've ever played, an on-rails shooter has more variety than that piece of doggie-doo.

*G*

I think FFX is amazing.....Blitzball alone is a blast to spend hours playing around through tournaments and whatnot. Is it linear ...yes, but I disagree on the bad story. FF9 was BORING though to me. So I guess it's all a matter of taste (yours being bad and mine being good of course :p )

With that said...I think FF CC is fine for the Final Fantasy name. Basically "Final Fantasy" IS just a name after all, since almost all of its games tend to be quite different from each other (best case in point FFXI). I'll buy it

Not going to get drawn into it. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, whether they like getting mushroom powerups, or enjoying a linear story.

I wonder if this game will boost GameCube sales...
Will it be out this winter?

1) PROBABLY but not enough to change GC's situation that much, a miracle would though...
2) dont know

GameCube needs more third party and an announcement that FFXII would be for PS2 AND GameCube would be awesome :)
(or Final Fantasy XI for GameCube)

(or Final Fantasy XI for GameCube)

That'd be such a joke :p I mean, first off Sonic Team somehow gets Nintendo to make a network adapter specifically for their DC port (PSO), and all of a sudden the GC is 'online'. What makes you think Square would ever be able to convince Nintendo to make a hard disc, specifically for FF XI?? I mean c'mon heh, compared to the Xbox which is already very much FF XI-ready, that'd be plain mean.

Like "we're going to jump through THIS MANY HOOPS specifically NOT to support the Xbox! HAHA!"

Nintendo is analysing Sony's and Microsoft's online service and will soon start developing one of its own :)
I think we will get an announcement @ next years E3 + a junkload of 3rd party gamecube titles :)

Uhm... the network adapter was planned from the start.

Sonic Team merely convinced Nintendo to RELEASE it early for PSO. Otherwise Nintendo would've done the same thing as with the GBA-GCN link cable - not release it until a first-party game used it, though third-party GBA-GCN cables appeared with the first linkable games (I got one for Sonic Adventure 2 -> Sonic Advance connection).
