Feasability of a portable XBox 360?

http://benheck.com/07-01-2009/new-xbox-360-portable-revision-3 < this could be one of the most retarded things I've seen in a long time and within gaming, that's saying a lot.
Why? Me, I think elaborate casemods are a cool way to show off creative craftsmanship.
People lacking both creativity and craftsmanship thinking that slapping on lots of blue neon lights will enhance the look of anything and
[H] suggesting that "it could easily become a reality", now that is retarded.

Don't see how this is stupid. It's an exercise in creativity and hardware hacking. =\

As for an actual portable console made out of the X360? Maybe three years down the road...

For a consumer product? Maybe in 2012 if they stick everything they have essentially on the one die. That should get overall packaging size and power consumption to the level where people would actually want to carry it.

It'd be a laptop rather than handheld. We're talking about PSP2 having the power of an XB, at 32/28 nm processes. Battery life and portability will throttle back portability. And if it's not a handheld, what exactly is the point? You'd need to be a serious gamer to want your console to come with you everywhere.

This sums up my feelings on this matter. While cool in a geeky kind of way, this has barely any practicality.

On the topic of looks, the latest revision doesn't appeal to me at all with those grills. The chosen colour for the insets is also not what I'd use for an XBOX.
