Fable 2

Damn this game is fun. Turning on the orbs to all just bring a whole new large scope feel. It's weird sometimes to see other orbs in dungeons and such. So far the community has been very good. No e thugs but I think the playful nature of the game goes a long way to avoid that. It's cool that I'll be walking up to someone and they'll give me a tip or vice versa. It's like instant help, if needed!

Finally got some good income going. For the main quest
got the first hero (girl from Temple) to go with the Oracle lady. How far along am I?
Did some fun side quests and on the way back I see my wife leaving! She divorced me and left town for not paying enough attention. Oh well. No clue what happened to the kid. I don't care either way as the house she was in is now getting me good money! And now I have 2 wifes to replace her so all is well. 2 kids also :( (I refuse to count the orphan)

Oakdale remind me of the Shire from LOTR. I like Oakdale a fair bit. Now that I'm getting into the game, I'm seeing a lot more combat and the it's the combat so far that has me excited. The animation and the fluidity you can achieve in battle is just a work of art, really. I love stringing together cool combination and such. I urge people to get creative with the combat. Don't noob it up but just the same thing over and over. I've easily spent more time on this game than any others, in a 3 days span and I don't see it tapering off.

I'm going to have to try opening my game up to orbs from random people. So far I've been doing the friends list, but none of my friends are playing. Playing last night, I barely did any fights at all.

I found the demon gate that wants meat, but it wouldn't let me give him a gift of meat. I couldn't seem to target the gate to give a gift. What gives?

I need to find more books to train my dog, Child Murderer. I also need to get me some more emotes.

If it's anything like the previous game, it's not about gifts so much as performing some sort of action in front of it. Any sort of meat critter you can slaughter in front of it?

Or maybe if I eat meat in front of it ... So far I haven't opened a single gate.

kick a chicken into it's mouth :) there should be a few moving around
I've opened 3 of them so far and all 3 have been worth it.

Only an orphan if you kill their mom. Get on it.

Oh :( No way I'll find her again but I suspect the current wives will be leaving soon and I need to test out my new weapons anyway.\

I also need to find a few good loose women for an orgy. They all love me but they all love having a ring also! I'm not down with that.

If you notice the icon to suggest a girl to come and sleep with you is a "hot coffee" icon. So many little things like that in the game that get make you smile.

Take them to the inn and buy cheap cheap booze to give to them. A few drinks and they're done. No rings necessary. And the bed is conveniently located upstairs. (Edit: I bought the booze stand so I could stock up on drinks as cheap as possible ;) )

My question is, if I get a married woman pregnant, am I on the hook for it, or does she automatically divorce her husband and hook up with you? My goal is to impregnate every married woman in the game, but not take any responsibility for any of it.

It would also be interesting to play as a female hero and birth as many babies as possible. I wonder how that works? Do you run around looking preggers, or is there suddenly just a baby there one day?

Review: A
If it were simply a single-player RPG, Fable 2 would be an almost peerless entry in the genre -- it's filled with more great ideas than the last 10 years of Final Fantasy combined.

While the game shutter here and there, I find the graphics amazing. I think because there are so many other aspects of the game that's good, graphic took a back seat in the discussion.

And while load time is long, it's not as bad as Mass Effect...and good thing it doesn't happen too often. I'm not too impress with the UI, but nothing bad, just expecting more from such an amazing game.

Yeah, I'm not discussing other aspect of the game, because it really shines in its genre and one of those thing you'll have to experience to see how well made it is.

Overall, as of now, it's #1 on my list of RPG. Really really outstanding!!!

Is there a quick spell bar or something or do I really have to use R-trigger + D-pad to switch in mid battle?

How do I... nail a chick? I maxed out the love bar, but I could not manage anything. Do you need to marry some first? It was some bar maid.

What is the best way to make money? I did the blacksmithing, should keep going with it?

Read Scooby's post above in this thread on the spell bar usage. He explains it best.

Get a house, give her a ring. Then take her back to the house.

Blacksmithing is good but it's easy to break the combo meter. Bartending is the easiest. Once you have money, but stands and such, then jack up the rates. You'll get corruption stats for it but get the money early and fast and then reinvest into properties and stands. You can later lower the prices once you have a good cash flow going.

Scooby,

Question for you. You have 5 slots in the spell charging thing. Does that mean if you have 5, level 5 spells and put them in the list, the first slot will only fire off a level 1 version of that spell? 2nd slot = 2nd level of another spell and so on?

Here's Scubby's post R1 is referring. Missed that one myself.

However, I think Robert's leading you down the morally correct path in regards to his chick advice. You said nail her, not provide for her.
Anyway, some ladies are more "open" than others. Left Trigger to lock and Y to check out their info. Under their name is some pretty good info which might clue you in to how "liberal" they are. If they proposition you, Lock-on, and give them the "Thumbs up" or "Invite back to my place" expression. Otherwise, use the "Invite back to my place" expression and see if it works. At that point, just get to any bed you can freely use and click on it as if you were going to sleep. You can also fast travel and they'll still follow. Works the same for "groups."

Of course, you could also do what R1 said. :D

I put that in a spoiler tag just in case.

I was just about to say, can't you tell from reading this thread that R1 is the very LAST person you'd want to ask for advice about women?

:D

Get a house, give her a ring. Then take her back to the house..

What's worked for me is getting them completely hammered. Just get them to love you and have them follow you to a bar or some other place you can buy beer. Get them wasted and then keep flirting until eventually they'll invite you for some fun and you can accept or reject with the thumbs up, thumbs down. You don't need the "invite" emote, and I don't think you have to worry about how open they are. It even works on the married ones.

Well I prefer to marry them first
that way they're worth more when sacrificed at the temple of shadows,
I'm a sick human being :(

Oh so hey, how do I get rid of my 5 STD's?

You should be using the condoms your dog digs up in the wilderness ... that does actually happen.

Use those, and they're liable to break. Unfortunately, you don't find out until long after its too late to load your last save and undo it. Just joking (I think). Seriously though, stores sell them too.
