Examples of ATI filtering failing?

And bandwith? ;)

just put it up as a bittorent and let download it off sharezar .

Hell make a 10 second or 20 second video. How big would that be even at high quality ?

These websites wont do it cause they love the hits they get while failing to prove anything .

It's now going on 3 + weeks on this subject...... And there's not a single documented problem with this in games. And, for the last year, using the same filtering, the RV3xx also have not had one documented problem with this. Given the fact that the filtering has been in use for a year, with no documented problems - and you have to believe that at least one of ATIs competitors has been actively searching for these kind of things  - there's not much else to say on the subject.

Your comments pretty much echo my feelings on this tired subject....if it WAS the kind of issue some are making it out to be, then why has there not been a PEEP of this at the R3D, ATI Driver Feedback or even nV forums until one site went through enormous effort to point this out....makes you wonder who, what, and how this "issue" was "discovered"....

i got my x800pro today and was very eager to finally see brilinear in action and whether my eyes can see the difference. I just tested MP2 and halo and i must say i've seen it right away. It's a decrease in IQ visible to me no doubt.

I'm 100% sure now a disable option must get into the drivers ASAP. Anything else is not acceptable

Log it as a bug at http://apps.ati.com/driverfeedback/ - it's not supposed to be detectable. If they can't fix the algorthm, it will help the campaign for a disable box in the control panel.

Not trying to discredit you in any way, but you are the first I have seen to make such an adamant claim.

Personally, I will wait to pass judgement til I see it or not with my own eyes....

Care to provide some pics? That would shut up certain people who claim there is no difference ;)

How about a picture of you holding up your x800pro

Or better yet make a video showing this , send it to me and I will seed it and post the torrent for everyone to download ?

Did you download rTool and enable trilinear on all stages? Halo has got a problem with that and the mipmapping lines were horrible for me on both me 9700 & 9600 until I enabled that, then it went away on both.

If you need some help hosting we got a TB/mos deal over at EB now so I'm sure we'd be able to do something... ;)

I'm aware of that problem in halo yes.

i can understand that i've waited with judgment too until i've seen it today. I have to say that i'm very sensitive to such things. Others may not notice the difference but i do

Done

I don't think it will help though

so why no video ? if its happening surely by just getting fraps (Demo for free) and sending me the video you can simply prove it .

Yeah, that's the suckbutt bit about this...it really is something that I think it's going to come down to a personal opinion on that you'll actually need to sit and play with the hardware to find out.

Could you describe a few games and the specific things you're noticing? A subjective description is probably the best we'll be able to get without the hardware...I don't see anyway a screenshot could really get it and I still don't like the quality of game movies. :(

I need ATi & nVidia to send me cards, THAT'S what I need.... 8)
