This I did not discuss with Kyle but he did say that ATI denied it was cheating. My guess whould be through emials and whatnot. From what I remember kyle had been asking them about this for quite some time, maybe a month or so, before he posted the article and the only reason he posted it was he felt he was being lied to. Also remember this is from a phone conversation I had with him which took place right before the launch of the radeon 9600xt and 9800xt.

Why didn't Kyle include their rebuttal(s) in his initial article? Why didn't he disclose the source of the Quack progie he used?

I've spoken on the phone with Kyle too (several years ago): think TX redneck with a short fuse. And I don't mean that as a slam: John = OH redneck with a short fuse. But my impression of Kyle from that conversation was that he came off as very reactive in nature; note the tone of his rant when NV continued supporting brilinear, how he suddenly changed directions and acquiesced that NV had indeed been cheating since the release of NV3x hardware. None of this seems to jive with giving NV a free pass since they supposedly fessed up to him that NV3x was less than stellar and instead consistently blasting FM at almost every opportunity he has.

I guess nothing is possible regardless of how many pipes you have, they will always perform as well as the NV30 from here on out... lol

No but you dont think they would just throw away all the CheaterTec they developed during the riegn on the nv3x. They can just as easily use it now to boost the scores. Why throw away the only real work they have done over the last year. They payed dearly for their CheaterTec.

I cant say I dont think like kyle does. I hate cheaters and I would expose them just because I hate it that much but I'm sure why kyle does things the way he does. I can only pass on info that we talked about at the time. If I had the time I could possibly get ahold of him again and ask more questions but my dad, I just found out has cancer, and my time islimited now since I am helping him with things.

Hey, if you wanna be like the other half think nothing has changed for nV, by all means... good luck with that career choice. I hope it is as profitable to you as the side who still holds a grudge towards ATi for Quack.

I care less of which one "wins." Winning means different things to everyone. For me, if I can play all my old games I still play while being able to play new ones just fine without the need to change drivers just to do it, that IHV wins.

If the performance isn't better than my FX5200U, that IHV looses and I will just keep this card.

Too simple to me I guess, but that is me.

I think we've been over this old ground enough before.

IMO much of what's displayed doesn't appear to be much beyond differences in how the texturing is handled. Lets wait to see if there is any reply from anyone else.
