I've had this problem since i was an infant, I can't find stuff I'm looking for, even if they're right in front of me. Often I am very sure I have had the thing in my field of vision, but not seen it, although it is not covered by anything.
But what struck me to make this thread was when I was looking for dvds recently. I had a 25pack spindle of dvds and a 10pack spindle of CD's on the same shelf. I took the dvds and put them at the computer to burn. Then I wanted to see what speed they could take, and since I had forgotten that I had put the dvds at the computer, I started reaching for the shelf. So I'm trying to reach and I don't realise that that is not a pack of dvds on the shelf, until I remember that I didn't put them there.
It's annoying the crap out of me now.
