Diablo III - It's official

Anyone have a level 70 season character on Europe, who feels like helping out a guy who'd like to get his pet and portrait before the season ends...? :D

Haven't been able to drag myself to even finish leveling my character (a monk) yet - I'm like level 52 I think right now. Much less get down with any of the other high-level objectives needed.

New season starts tomorrow! I think I'll probably be playing a wizard; I levelled one up to 24 last night as a non-season character and it seems pretty good.

Yep, same. Will be my first time not maining a monk. Well that's the plan anyway. I tend to miss punching and dashing when I play other classes.

With the new patch I tried my Witch Doctor who was hitting for up to 5 billion damage

I started a new seasonal barb and already got the 6-piece set courtesy of Haedrig. I can run T8 without much problem but dies a bit too much in T10 (as my toughness is only ~6M and relies on continuously leaping to keep from dying).

I've been playing on my wizard. The 'free' set was only good for T6-8 really. I've managed to collect a different set (DMO), and now I'm fine in T10 (if a little slow for farming). I managed to clear a 57 grift solo in about 10 minutes last night.

Just an FYI to anyone playing: You only get one free set per account, per season. I was under the impression it was per character, but as it's part of the season journey it can't be.

Demon Hunters have it good this season as their free set is also their best set, and one of if not the strongest of any class.

It's called Haedrig's gift. He's the blacksmith.

He gives you 2 set pieces for getting to level 70, another 2 for killing Zoltan Kulle at torment 2 difficulty or higher, and the rest of the set for completing a solo greater rift 20.

These set pieces also drop as usual.

I believe so. Not sure if there is any provision for consoles. I guess the theory is that non-seasonal players will mostly have at least one set already anyway.

Uh I just went to log in and Battle.net says I have been queued... 16 minute wait?! Why do they even have a queuing system? If they know they lack capacity then why don't they increase it?

There is an option to Go Offline. Can I still play D3 in Offline mode? I only want to play single player right now. I would click it but if it doesn't work I'll lose my place in the fucking queue.

There's no announced offline play for PC Diablo3. You've probably just encountered either a technical glitch of battle.net, or someone's DDOSing them again. Queues are not normal these days.

Anyone know when the current season ends?
*Edit: B.net launcher actually gives this info now... April 15th. Could use a boost in demon hunter set dungeon, if anyone is willing to help and have the melee set. :) SO damn hard to fulfil the requirements. :(

No one can help in the set dungeons can they? I just rolled a new dagger so I can try and finish the set dungeon and complete the Season, think I might be able to do it now but have to be careful to to have any other incidental damage going.

Also I completely screwed up yesterday. I decided to upgrade my Barbarian's Maximus with the extra primary stat bonus you can add with the latest Cube recipe. Not watching what I was doing I used 3 Int gems instead of Str gems, now his sword has an extra +200 Intelligence and a level 40 Legendary Gem gone poof. :(

My DH can now comfortably solo T10 and lvl45 grifts. And I still have quite a few more items I need before I can say that my build is at its full potential. This build probably won't ever be soloing lvl70 grifts but I like the way it plays and the simplicity of it. I need ancient versions of the rings to pick off the rest of the low hanging fruits.

I cleared a 76 about two months ago with an Unstable Sceptre Delsere's Wizard. Haven't played since then. I'm sure I'll be right back in the mix next season. I absolutely love this game until it progression slows down so much that I can go for a week without seeing an upgrade. At that point I tend to pack it in and wait for the next season.

Was happy to do all the season journey stuff to get the extra stash tab. Nice change of pace. I don't usually achievement hunt at all, but the stash tab was too good an offer to pass up. I didn't bother with the extra stuff for the wings though.

This season I ran two wizard characters:

Here's my grift pushing char: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/tabs-1161/hero/71677643 Forgive the naming. It was the first thing that popped into my head to call a female wizard - I have regretted it all season. Pushing grifts is probably my favourite part of the game. It's the culmination of all your farming efforts giving you the tools to then apply with a bit of skill and knowledge. Upgrading legendary gems is a great reward.

Here's my awesomely fun key farming char: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/tabs-1161/hero/72456885 If you've played in pubs at all this season I'm sure you've seen a wizard flying around constantly expoding. This is a variation of that build, designed to maximize Deaths Breath income. It was also pretty solid in grifts. I think I cleared a 55 or so with it without even switching out the Sage's set. In her left ring slot is the only item the two chars shared, the currently ubiquitous Bane of the Trapped. Other versions of this build use gold to buff armor but I found this to be faster and more reliable.

I love that next season some of the other leg gems are getting massive buffs. Should mean BoTT isn't an auto include for a lot of builds. Many gems that did additive damage are changing to multiplicative, as BoTT already was. Should be lots of fun!

I really enjoyed this season. Tweaking builds has never been so good. Had some good times swapping cubed items back and forth to try to fix problems when pushing. Great times. Got some good use out of http://www.d3planner.com/ such a great resource, I highly recommend it.

This season I got my barbarian to 71. I haven't played for a while partly because I'm in the US right now and the connection back to Taiwan is pretty bad (at least not what I'm used to :p ) and my only computer is a measly Macbook Pro. But the main reason is, like tabs, when the progress slows down to a certain point it becomes much less fun than it should be.

As for this season, I too like it very much. My sister plays a witch doctor and it's fun to play together. The pace of progression is actually pretty nice, suitable for someone like me who mostly play only at weekends.
