Destiny [PS3,X360,PS4,XO]

wow that destinydb is kinda neat...but there's no way to view all your characters?? It only lets me look at my last used guy that I can tell

Also doesn't seem to show the upgraded stats on the armor...

Anyone have Thunderlord? Is it any good? I just got it from beating the nightfall with JPT. Also got The Truth from beating it with my Warlock and a crappy sniper from beating it with my hunter with orangpelupa.

Somebody here I think had described Thunderlord as "overpowered", a couple pages ago. It immediately went on my must-get list :p

Also it was on GAF, work on Destiny 2 has begun, https://twitter.com/VG_Dave/status/529750898835468288 and something about the first one was profitable day one...

For the third quarter, Activision Publishing’s Destiny was the largest new franchise launch in videogame history and ranks among the top 10 largest videogame launches of all time in the U.S.² To date, Destiny has more than 9.5 million registered users and our active players are playing the game an average of more than three hours per day.¹

How is the game, Rangers? Has it passed the test of time? Judging from the behaviour of most of my friends who purchased it, this game seems to be crap.

They either sold it, left the game, don't play anymore, criticise it or got really bored of it. I have 200+ friends on my FL and many of them played Destiny for a while but now there are only like 4-5 friends who play it regularly.

I didn't expect them to be as good as Blizzard at loot and stuff like that, but well, once the main Creative Designer and Martin O'Donnell left the game and the company  I didn't expect as much from the game as in the Halo days.

I rarely "use" it these days not because it's bad but because I build up all my other heavy and exotic stuff. It's a killer for mass control and final kill with the right perks(Feeding Frenzy,Lightning Rounds where it shoots faster and faster). IMHO the best all-round machine gun(60 mag) I have with Field Scout(180)/Perfect Balance(120 afair) option vs. (The Swarm, The Culling, Zombie Apocalypse WF47).

Thanks guys. I'll keep it for my Titan. My Hunter and Warlock are already pretty well equipped, now I'm slowly collecting weapons for my Titan. So far he has: MIDA Multi-tool, A.1F19X, The Devil You Know for primary weapons; Epitaph 2261 (solar sniper) for secondary; and The Truth (void) and Thunderlord (arc) for heavy weapons.

O_O how how how hoooooooow you get all of that stuff tranner... im jelous.

and my friend keep getting suros + arm raid gear again and again and he keep cheeky-ly say "aww gotta dismantle raid gear / exotic again". ha! i keep calling him scrooge mcduck*

*yeah its bungie fault for not letting item trade but i like calling him Scrooge with that many raid gear and exotics every raid lol

EDIT:
i just realized...
bungie's vision of destiny weapon was "its so awesome and you will share the story how you get it with your friend".

Friend A: Dude! how you get that handsome headgear?
Friend B: RNGeesus blessed me bro! :D
Friend A: How about your exotic rocket?
Friend B: You want it? Come with me, Xur sells it @ Tower.

yeah my luck on weapon drop are better than raid gear drop.
Btw since im getting Plan C, i no longer getting Praedith Revenge in VoG. yay :D

as for another character... i think i need to levelup warlock to cheese atheon :p

Now I really need some resources to level all this crap up. i think Zombie Apocalypse alone will cost me like 64 relic iron to fully level. And it's not even a top priority. Plus first priority is getting these last 2 raid gear maxed, forgot about the 6-10 weapons I'd like to max. And I need Spirit Iron too.

I ran into a couple kill the MVP PE's on Mars of Praetorian types and the void damage on Zombie was really helpful taking out their void shields though. Those used to be really tough but I was able to take one down pretty easily. The only thing that sucks is by the time Zombie has eliminated their shields, it's pretty much due for a reload due to it's small clip.

Game is designed to be such a wicked time sink...

I have a ridiculous good spirit iron run but I definitely could use better spinmetal and relic iron runs...

About the weapon talk, I think I want a good fusion on my to get list, now that I have a good hand cannon and scout. I'm getting to where I have fewer weapon needs for sure. And VoC is still amazing me just cleaning up trash on resource runs.

What is Spirit Iron? Do you mean Spirit Bloom? In my experience, Spirit Bloom us a lot easier to come by than Relic Iron.

I got another legendary engram from leveling my Cryptarch, which decoded into The Conduit. I guess it's just a random pulse rifle you can buy from the Future War Cult faction Q-Master. Not really stoked about this one because pulse rifles suck ass. They don't quite have the range/hit of Scout rifles, and they don't have the close range DPS of Auto Rifles.

Honestly, I don't get anything worthwhile from the daily or weekly heroic strikes, or from the Vanguard strikes either. From what you guys say, it sounds like the Nightfall strike pays better. I think this is a problem with the game. Bungie can't make people go through all that and not give decent rewards. People won't stick around.

Playing a Nightfall for a chance at exotic/legendary is probably one of the easiest things to do to get a legendary/exotic.
Of course, that's provided you're already LV28+, which makes NF pretty easy if you know what to do..

Daily is for shards/energy and EXP.
Weekly Heroic is for Strange coins.

I would say the raid really pays best...by far I guess.

I would think nightfall second, as far as chance to get an exotic or legendary. I've only done a couple nightfalls, I dont remember what I got except it was disappointing to me. But that's just randomness, people get a lot of exotics from nightfall.

Weekly heroic is more for the strange coins imo.

Yes overall stuff just does not drop a ton, except in the raid (and there it just depends, but run it a few times and you'll get stuff). As of now I'm swimming in guns though.

It's often really tough to solo regardless though imo. Like this week looks like another absolute bear to solo (judging by Datto's video, and past experience).

But you can just use destiny lfg to get a quick group for nightfall.

Take your hands off of my coins.

For farming materials, I use these spots:
Earth - Rocketyard
Moon - Anchor of Light
Venus - Ishtar Cliffs
Mars - The Hollows

I will check these out. Yeah Ishtar Cliffs is my crazy good spirit bloom place. But, some of the other materials I could definitely use better runs.

Normally it's not too big a deal, but now I've got a lot of stuff to upgrade...

just raid atheon again. unfinished. i quit because its very late night and its bloody buggy.

multiple times regular bugs:
1. Relic shield randomly not block attack
2. Vex gate randomly not working

and 1 unregular bug*:
- Time vengeance did not trigger, resulting
- Relic shield cannot be held indefinetely (because theres no time vengeance)

Got a 2nd 77Wizard from LV28 Daily today and a legendary engram(decoded into some armor for a different class). I didn't play yesterday(after the reset) but I got a legendary engram too last week on tuesday. So it "seems" that the weekly reset is related the loot too.

Normally yes. But I got a second Thunderlord doing the weekly heroic (the other one I got from the nightfall).

It's not too bad IMO. I solo'd the nightfall with my Warlock. It was quite a bit easier than the moon or Nexus nightfalls, for me any way.
I would recommend Ice breaker (as usual), a scout rifle and some kind of void weapon for the Psions.
Keep your distance from the Colossus', they will kill you in a hurry if you get too close.
At the last boss, just hide under the ramp in the back left of the room.

Never mind my spirit bloom run isn't ishtar cliffs it's ember caves. This one

Maybe yours is better but mine is definitely better than my other farm routes.

Anyways just finished leveling my last raid gear and hit 30. If Bungie.net is accurate, after 164 hours and 9 minutes of play time (across all 3 chars).

I've been pretty driven and obsessed to hit 30, I hope to relax a bit and probably play a bit less now...

Always more stuff to sink countless hours in if you let it. I could get my backup guy to 29 pretty easy with armor castoffs now, I need to finish leveling my 3rd char to 20, on and on...

I guess basically just finishing up waiting for DLC, I'd like to have 3 20's and the top two 30 and 28-29 by themselves, by then, i suppose.

May try hard raid some more now that I'm 30 and better armed, but I've found it pretty frustrating when I was 29. I guess it depends on your teammates a lot. So I may dabble with normal mostly, which these days people just destroy.

I feel like VoC and P&T, etc is the biggest quantum leap in weaponry I've taken since I first got Ice Breaker, my first batch of legendaries, etc. Just a huge jump, for example the 28 dailies are just a joke to me now. Cant wait to try some weeklies. Oh and it's not even fully leveled yet.

I have a couple questions if anybody knows...full auto mode on VoC is just...kind of the same slow rate of fire but you can keep the trigger down, right? It's not supposed to be like a true full auto fire burst, is it?

2nd one...since you get exotic bounties in I think the same batches of 3, if you finish one bounty in the set can you never get that set again? Since I (apparently wrongly) chose the Super Good Advice Bounty, I'm close to done with it I think (500 MG kills, I'm at like 350), but I dont want to screw up my chance to get Pocket Infinity bounty later. I'd rather abandon that bounty now than miss possible PI bounty in future, but if it doesn't affect anything I'll finish it.
