Destiny [PS3,X360,PS4,XO]

But the Raid loot table is limited so the chances are far higher that this happens. How high are the chance to get 7-8 ships in 2 days from the global loot table when you didn't get any for 2 weeks or so? And this wasn't the only occurrence of that nature.

I wish we could sell/trade gear. I'd give a left nut for one of your spare VoCs or AEs. I guess I won't be raiding anytime soon, as it seems I'm stuck at lvl 26. Every damn purple armor engram has ended up being for some other class. On the bright side, my Hunter and Titan will be geared up pretty well when I get around to them.

the pattern of RNG in destiny
1. get junk most of the time. it seems bungie put junk (ascendant stuff) in higher amount/probability.
2. suddently keep getting the same thing again and again in a row

. = random junk
+ = same awesome thing

...............++...............+++++...

Why don't you just buy them from marks and if necessary from Xur(to reach lv29)?

Nice Raid, got Vision of Confluence and The Last Word  Not my last piece of raid gear though, so I'm still bummed :(

Is Last Word good? Is Vision always solar? (mine is)

Edit: Nevermind, got my raid gloves now. Just need to level them and I'm finally 30.

just raid. from killing gatekeeper and atheon i just getting shards (again) and Chatterwhite (again again again bah)

I've already bought some gear from the Q-Master, but with a 100 mark/week limit it's slow going. I'm just disappointed with lack of quality drops from doing the daily and weekly strike missions. I guess I should have started a duplicate character early on to farm.

Duplicates will speed things up a lot. But, it is pretty boring and takes 10-12 hours. They wont necessarily help you on the legendary armor front at first because it takes a bit to get vanguard rank 2, but they will on the strange coins front.

The 100 mark limit isn't bad...two weeks tops from a standing start to get 3 legendary pieces, and you should have already had an exotic armor from Xur (only 13 coins). That'll get you to 29.

Re-posting for new page brag, I got my raid gloves and am now destined for 30! Woo hoo!!!

I guess it was a bit odd how I got them, being a new week I wasn't sure whether to level my 3rd alt some more (he's 13) or Raid this morning, only had a couple hours. Made the decision to raid. So on my first run through on normal (first raid this week) I get disconnected right before the oracle loot. And miss the loot. I go back in and get the other 3 phases (got VoC and Last Word). So then I cant decided whether to try to go back and pick up that oracle point, or just move all my gear to the other char and do a fresh run again and worry about the oracle on that char later if at all. I decide to pick up the oracle, but people are mostly doing fresh runs. I actually was pretty much planning on ditching my team after oracles, yeah I was gonna be sucky :p Anyways we beat the oracles and whattya know...the gloves drop! So, glad I made the decision to raid, and the decision to pick up that oracle loot checkpoint too! I was happy enough about the gloves I stayed with the team through the end :D

Interestingly I got no duplicates of raid gear. The only 3 pieces I got were all different.

I was correct, normal pretty much feels like a breeze after hard...

I'm not sure how this will affect my interest in the game going forward. I assume it'll drop off at least some. Which isn't a bad thing, so many hours wasted already on this game. There's not a whole ton I want weapon wise now that I have vision...thunderlord sounds awesome, have some weapons that need leveling, etc.

Finally got my Praedyth's Timepiece! I finally have all the possible VoG loots :D

So on my new weapons, yeah VoC seems like a gamechanger. This thing drives tacks and hits for about 1/4 the damage of Patience and Time per shot, but it's primary! And I just unlocked the full auto, but havent used it yet, it can only get better I imagine. Wow, impressed. Being a legendary rather than exotic is a huge boon as well. It'll make headshot bounties even more of a breeze as well. Seems to completely outclass Atheons Epilogue. Really lives up to the hype. I desperately felt like I needed a primary that hit harder, as well, so this really fits the bill. Exceptional range and looks like ammo will be not a problem on top of all that.

Whoever said Patience and time hits harder than Ice Breaker was wrong, i hit the same enemy P&T hit for 800+ Ice Breaker for 1200+. Granted IB is fully leveled and P&T is 260, but leveling isn't going to make up a 50% gap AFAIK. Maybe 33%.

It definitely seems to me Bungie wanted P&T's strength to be it's exceptional stability.

The invisibility thing unless I'm wrong I'm not that jazzed for, I dont think I have it yet but it only kicks in after like 3 seconds and I'm not sure how useful it will be in PVE, from what I gather it's better in PVP.

I've been working on leveling Zombie Apocalypse since it's void, definitely the problem seems to be it's 43 clip and 160/180 main ammo, whatever the exact number is. That's a major drawback. I still think it'll be useful, but yeah. And I still need to level and explore Gallahorn.

Anyways, love all my new weapons. So much stuff to level now...

Congrats on being able to hit 30. Patience and Time shows its strength when you get to fire successive shots at a weakpoint. You won't be able to do that with Ice breaker.

PVE is where it's used. In PVP your "sniper red glow" is still there so being invisible doesn't do shit.

300 icebreaker hits for 1284
300 Patience and time hits for 1033

But as I said, 6 shots of well aimed Patience and Time shots probably takes about 3 seconds. On Ice breaker it'll take around 5~6. DPS wise, Patience and Time will never lose out to Ice Breaker.

So, regarding armor, is it recommended to build around an exotic helmet, does it not really matter which piece of exotic armor you choose?

It depends on which class you're using.

However, raid helmet only drops on HARD mode (and Atheon only) so usually you would want to have an exotic helmet to make your life a bit easier.

For hunter the youtube experts I follow say the exotic helmets have the best perks.

For other classes it may/is different. I think for Titan the exotic to have is Armamentarium (chest armor).

And what Strange said is a (very) strong consideration as well. I've found hard raid to be really hard, so far (maybe it will change eventually for me). Normal raid loot is therefore much more achievable.

The characters I currently have are a lvl 26 Warlock and a lvl 25 Titan (for some reason, my Titan leveled much quicker than my Warlock).

So far, Xur has only sold exotic chest armor. Does that ever change?

Your Titan probably leveled faster cause now you know the tricks :D

Xure has sold exotic helms, that's where I got mine. Pretty early on...only 13 strange coins I think.
