Pretty sure this is an exaggeration
Anyways why envy me? I've struggled for my 2 pieces and I'm not through yet in what, 7th or 8th week of the game? I envy those who say they got the full set on their first raid...not like there isn't tons of 30's running around at this point. I think it's still somewhat prestigious though.
When those raid gauntlets drop I swear I'll scream in delight like a little girl lol...the culmination of 150+ hours of work...
Edit: just checked Bungie net and added up all my chars, if it's accurate I'm around 146 hours...less than I thought.
30 raid isn't as hard as you think, it's more of a chore to me now. There's also not as many 30s as you think...
If I remember correctly for myself
week 1
1 LV26 raid cleared (4)
1 LV26 raid half clared (3)
due to a bug on Bungie's part I actually had 3 more loot points due to an odd reset of sorts, so totaling 7 loot points for the first eek
week 2
1 LV26 raid cleared (4)
week 3, made a second character
2 LV26 raid cleared, hit Lv 30 after the 4th run (8)
Week 4, made a third character
3 LV30 raid cleared (24)
week 5
3 LV30 raid cleared (24)
week 6 (this week)
2 LV30 raid cleared.(16)
1 LV30 raid up to gatekeeper (4)
so in total I've hit 87 loot points I believe... going to hit the last two loot points today.
All in all I pretty much have all the possible loot, including vex. The only thing I'm missing is Praedyth's timepiece, which is evading me for some reason.
I'm planning on putting my three Praedyth's revenge and icebreakers (all bought) on all three characters in the future to free up transferring slots
I also have 2 Vision of Confluence, Atheon's Epilogue, as well as fatebringer, so when I find the third of those I could also ignore transferring those too
My time up right now adds to ....274 hours.
As for the strategies, putting good use of the map/obstacles in my view is fine.
People find a way to get missions done as effectively as possible with the highest success rate as possible.
What's not fine is doing stuff that's obviously not how they designed it, like pushing Atheon off the cliff.
So far the real strategies that I find worth noting as "not the way intended" are basically the ones where you get to defeat bosses without actually causing damage to them. The other ones I feel are fair game.
