Not on PS3. Dunno about PS4. They also have a different publisher now who may or may not have a say. What are Activision's current online games doing in this regard?
So, say you go in alone, join a Strike mission and get grouped with two other randoms via the matchmaker (to me that meets the definition of co-op), you're saying you can communicate with those two randoms in game? How? Did I miss a setting in the game or something? If this is possible I'd really like to enable it.But NRP was talking about coop.

Yes you can. We do it everyday. No need to enable anything. Most prbly the ppl you ended up with did not have their mics connected, otherwise you would have heard them. So, say you go in alone, join a Strike mission and get grouped with two other randoms via the matchmaker (to me that meets the definition of co-op), you're saying you can communicate with those two randoms in game? h.
thats strange, my experience the same with NRP. i cant communicate with them and they also did not listed on my "Fireteam" start menu.
They are greens but I can't talk to them and they did not appear as my fireteam in start menu. Maybe it's buggy.
Whenever you join my fireteam , we can hear each other. Same for matchmade fireteams, who ever I am match made with can hear me and I can hear them. As long as we are in one fireteam (Names in green), we can chat with each other. People who show up as Blue during Patrol or during a strike, who are not in your fireteam, can not be talked to.
Alongside the Treasure Cave's closure, one of the most significant changes comes in the communications department. "Our vision for Destiny is that all players, even matchmade players in the Crucible, Strikes, the Tower, or public spaces, be able to communicate with one another in a way that promotes positive socialization," Bungie says. "Voice communication is the easy answer, but existing voice paradigms, including those in our own Halo games, have not done enough to protect players from abusive griefing from a minority of players."
Bungie has been working on what it describes as a "near-term solution" to this problem that will give you the ability to opt-in to voice chat when in matchmaking activities. The company says this feature will be in place sometime before the end of the year for both the Crucible and Strikes.
Wow just found out the 100 vanguard mark weekly cap is per char not across all chars...
I really need to make some alts now knowing that info. i usually hit the cap every week and probably would faster if I tried.
That means you could buy and break down that much more legendary armor every week.
3 chars churning out marks/PE's/daily strikes would be an ascendant material factory...
I will say the game keeps you plenty busy without alts. even know at kind of endgame I guess, I never lack for stuff to do, it's never like I feel like I'm spinning my wheels without alts.
Lets see hit mark cap on all chars (might actually be kinda difficult), buy Leg. armor, that's 3 armor every 2 weeks times 3, 9 armor at 2-3 shards per, 18-27 shards per 2 weeks. Plus with 3 chars doing dailys at least 5 days per week, that's another 6X5=30 asc mat per week, 60 per two weeks, lets say half of those become shards instead of energy, that's 48-57 shards per 2 weeks or 25-28.5 per week. Plus some more from buying exotic armor with motes of light, and maybe some random ones...
