Destiny [PS3,X360,PS4,XO]

It doesn't have to be 5 consecutive, just 5 strikes without dying. It can be frustrating if you die near the end of a strike, but it's not bad.

Btw, I've had Red Death for a few weeks now so I was disappointed that it's what xur is selling this week. I have it to the point where upgrading needs ascendant energy to upgrade it further. I'm not the biggest fan of pulse rifles, but it's my only exotic weapon that I have so I use it sometimes. I prefer my legendary scout and auto rifles though.

5 strikes done !
Now she wants me to do something like ' a kill/death spread of 25 in crucible' ! WTH does that mean ?

I was wondering the same thing. It can't be in a single match, so I'm assuming you just need 25 more kills than deaths, overall. For instance, if you had 100 kills and 75 deaths in the crucible, it would count. So basically, you have to be reasonably good to unlock it fast.

Does this mean you need a kill:death ratio of 25 of greater (if it's a persistent ratio) or perhaps 25 kills without a death in a crucible match?

Man up and kill some people without dying

Probably just anytime you are +25 I assume. Like 575 kills 550 deaths would work. Or 26 kills 1 death.

Next question is that cumulative or one match?

I would never get that one. Never.

K/D ratio of 25 would be impossible.

I'm so mad I missed out on the Suros Regime. I love auto rifles to begin with, and this thing seems a beast by all accounts :( Even the name sounds badass.

Oh well I didn't have 23 strange coins last week anyway.

Des anybody know, when Bungie said they were gonna nerf auto rifles, is that just for PVP or PVE as well?

It's not K/D ratio for sure cos the bounty says 1/25 after one match.
No idea what it is

I believe it is end of Match it takes your spread of Kills and deaths and accumulates them. So as long as you are positive at the end of the match you get your points for how many you are positive for?

Not for l33t ninjas :nope:

Not owning Destiny I don't understand the significance of the reward in this case. But there are plenty of rewards in other MMOs that are only attainable by the most skilled players in PVP. By this I mean <100 people in a user base of 10m.

I keep forgetting Destiny is a place for n00bs :yep2:

J/K :nope:

lol DSoup.

^^^ This is how to drive by troll

But yes, GM gear for WoW classic was the worst grind ever. I never made it.

Yes. AFAIK even super elite say COD players have lame K/D ratios like 1.5:1. Everybody gravitates to 1:1 no matter how good. That's considered great...25:1 over a long term is literally basically impossible.

Right, depending on your level the hardest challenges like nightfall strike will bring you to your knees...heck I read someone complaining oh, it's so hard the only way to beat these is cheesing them (IE finding spot enemy cant hit you). Shame on Bungie's bad design.

It's Bungie, you should know from Halo they know how to make things hard if they want...they put basically the equivilant of Halo skulls in the hard ones.

Basically in the game is whatever challenge you want, there'll be plenty of challenge too hard for just about anybody. I say just about, because there's probably a handful of players who can handle Vault of Glass on hard and I'm not sure if there's anything harder in the game (there might be).

The nightfall strikes are supposed to be a bear also, level 28, and nightfall skull, I mean modifier or whatever they call it, means you get kicked to orbit on death, no checkpoints.

lol DSoup.

I am kidding  I expect to pickup Destiny myself after a few expansions and natural cycles of evolution of gameplay. Most MMOs (or MMO-likes) going through this in their first year.

Except maybe Elder Scrolls Online. That still looks like a train wreck and Bethesda's record on patching is.... :runaway:

Plus while it is exciting to be the first in a game and literally be in unexplored territory (the original WoW was awesome, but it was huuuuuuuge), there's a lot to be said for having good resources to fall back on and point you in the right direction.

yeah :( ! I know...its more practical to try and reach rak 2 for the queen and get the Legendary auto rifle she is selling. I don't have time, though ! Lets see what happens !

EDIT: WOW: Got an option to select one bounty out of 3 for an exotic weapon, two had clear descriptions of what needed to be done, which was cearing a strike, the other was some mission, the third one asked me to talk to my Vanguard ("Dubious Task"). I selected that out of curiosity and now She wants me to clear 5 strikes without dying ! Damn, the other two were so so so easy ! I hope the rewards comes out super awesome, otherwise  !

its just a dumb shotgun

edit:
about 25 kill spread, you dont need to have 25 kills 0 death. I randomly finish that thing with around 2,5 KDR although previously i have 3+ KDR (got lucky with RPG :D).

and yes, this is very annoying to do. What i do is basically this:
- join crucible,
- deliberately lost matches for 5 times (just keep suiciding). If you have PS Vita, just bring ps vita remoteplay while do normal activity. A few sports like jumping around, making some tea, watching spongebob, etc.
- then i have matchmaking with other dumb(er) people :)

It's not really that complex imo. I think it's like an order of magnitude less complex than a hardcore WoW type MMORPG. For just one thing that reduces complexity, there are no really widely divergent classes.

So basically I doubt you need to wait for "resources" about the game. I think people already know the systems because they are not that many or complex.

A game like WoW, people can sink lives into. This one is more designed to sink maybe a few weeks or months into imo.

I feel like I could get to level 30 and beat VoG in say another month or two, and then I'd have considered myself to have essentially "beaten" the game (of course DLC will come...). I dont think you could say that about a WoW. I also dont know, but feel like the time investment to reach max level must be much less than a WoW.

So yes in that sense I think it's an MMORPG light. Well heck, another clue is the lack of voice chat/communication built in the game. Or the relative lack of content (you just play the same strikes over and over). I really like the game but that cant be denied.

At least that's my perception from watching my brother play WoW or Path of Exile, I've never played it.

Oh and I forgot Wow had like 40 man raids, I think countless raids, Destiny only has one raid (which I equate to a WoW raid) so far!

thats quite different with me.

in destiny i understand -nothing-. hey, i even just know that i can join faction today, by reading post in B3D. I also have just known the existence of Xur vendor.
i still dont understand how to get strange coins, how to get exotic stuff, how to get level 26 (i already wear all legendary and stuck in level 25), etc.

in any MMO i ever played, i never this clueless.

EDIT:
i also did not even know the materials in the world is used for what. Spinmeals? Ascending Shared?
