Destiny [PS3,X360,PS4,XO]

One strike? Bungie, Bungie never changes ! Lol
Still like everything Destiny, it will be bought and enjoyed.
No news on any new class/subclass. New mode, nothing?

I really hope they really inventory the Court of Oryx event. It is really fun in concept but the court is always empty when I go there. It was only once that I played with randoms there. But that made the world of Destiny feel alive !
I am curious what Bungie does now. After Kings Fall's unanimous success with gamers I don't think I will like the next raid. I am guessing it will be similar and I just don't like that grindy repetitive raid at all.

So I'm a little late to the party, but last week I bought Destiny after a friend finally convinced me to get the discounted super duper version with all DLC.

Fine. You were right. I'm totally hooked.

It have a free demo. Why didn't you try it first? Glad it turns out alright though

Hmm, pretty much literally every single time I've been to COO, which I just started this past week, there's been people there so...I dunno.

I made a Titan...pursuing grimoire figured I'd better get started on those 5k Titan crucible kills...

I used my leftover spark of whatever from buying TTK to get him, to 25, and then I collected bounties for a couple days and used a leftover double XP boost, then turned them all in to pretty much boost him to 40. Then I gave him all 335 weapons which got him to like 240 IIRC, and he''ll be 335 shortly, just need a legendary artifact and chest piece. Which I have concrete plans on how to get both soon (buy the chest piece as soon as I hit vanguard rank 2 which is soon,, and do a Eris quest for the artifact). I also did the Taken King quest line to open up the Dreadnaught. Overall it was just a couple days of relatively light intermittent work.

I realize once I got legendary armor in any slot for the Titan, then I have plenty of hunter junk at 334/5 to infuse it with. So it was just a matter of getting a legendary in each slot for armor which wasn't too hard. I'd like to get him at 335 ish today to maybe run him in IB. Although really being my current focus on grimoire, I shouldn't run IB anyway.

I'm biased but I've only played a few crucible matches with him, and the super (Fist) seems kinda like a dream compared to Hunters. In that it's pretty much automatically good for at least one kill, if not several. You cant really say that for any hunter super, at least I cant. I already got a FIVE kills stomp with it, it was glorious. But I've probably had a 5+ kill super twice in hundreds upon hundreds of hours of hunter crucible. So yeah I think that could be a huge boon to my k/d.

I read this on redit but I think the reason Hunters have a higher k/d (at least in the narrow field of public 6's) is just because of their jump. A guy said it's really just better control and blink that have high k/d on hunters, everything else is average.

So it may just be shotgunners using hunters quick jumps to get close. Well, I dont play remotely that way (arguably stupid to use hunters to stay back with scout rifles and snipers mostly, but that's what I do), so, I could have a much better k/d with other classes with better supers.

And oh yeah, I was surprised how weird the floaty Titan jump felt.

LOL, keep playing. Just look up Titan fail on Youtube. Fist of Havok has an incredible short range. Ya, if five guys stand in a circle and don't move you can kill them all, but all they have to do is see you coming and back up a few feet. I regularly rush into a control zone with 3 guys and hit FoH only to kill no one because they casually backpedaled and shot me. Most of the time it turns into Fist of Panic to kill one enemy who is getting the upper hand.

In a lot of respects FoH is like Nova Bomb, but without the range part. But people often just back out of Nova Bomb range too.

thats why titan have aftershock perk... it make the radius really really long and tall.

yes i said RADIUS. Because despite its description, Fist of Havok did NOT travel along the ground. The damage area is actually a bubble.

Ya, it goes up. Aftershock does not change the damage zone, it just pulses 4-5 times depending on your perks. It's great for zones and pitch points, but most people are smart enough to stand outside until it goes away.

I think he meant shockwave. There's also death from above, which allows you to aim your smash while in the air (~45 degree angle).

But yeah, I like striker titan in crucible, more so in 3v3 though. Sunbreaker is probably better for 6v6.

If you run shotgun then juggernaut is extremely effective (and annoying to play against).

late edit: Oh yeah, and the lightning grenade is one of the best in the game.

Yeah sorry I mesn Shockwave.

Btw the rise of iron Earth Recycled video on twitch is.. Heh?

Seriously? Is bungie out of their mind?

Vanilla destiny is already confusing to differentiate between OK zone and death zone.

Now In rise of iron they make it even more confusing.

Is all cosmodorme going to be like this now? Or they will preserve the previous missions and strikes in th esnow-less cosmodrome too? Are you talking about this confusion or something else totally?

Also has Bungie revealed any different versions of Rise of Iron that we can buy, like they did with Taken king, or is it simply one version this time which is on store right now?

Ppl tell me its cos I run there and that messes with matchmaking. i have tried walking between transition zones too. No luck. Always empty except for when t launched.

I dont enjoy Titan too much so far. Super floaty jump is a hindrance to me in both PVE and PVP.

In PVE the striker (only subclass I've mostly unlocked yet) super kinda sucks, a good golden gun with Symbiote (4 shots) is much better/more fun in non raid PVE, as well as tether, I may even prefer arc blade. Never mind Nighthawk's ridiculous damage output that one shots damn near anything.

Anyways still coming to grasp with Titan in PVP. How to plan for the super, not have a skip grenade to prime rushers, lacking quickdraw, things like that. Overall it's a more laid back, opportunistic style of play.

I enjoy finally have a super annoying grenade though to annoy people with (in my book just tripmines and lightning grenade would be the ultra annoying grenade twins). I have to get used to that style as well, planting it in doorways and stuff to cover myself instead of using it to prime like skip. Or throwing it in the middle of enemy control zones.

Another thing is I dont even have 5/5 spec let alone 5/5/1 like my hunters. I think I'm 5/4 so far, which means my grenade cooldown is 34 seconds (and that's an improvement, it was 42), on my BD it was like 21 seconds, huge difference, on BD I got used to almost always having my grenade.

I haven't come to grips with how to utilize shoulder charge much yet either, there's another change. The melee seems better than hunters though, people complain about the reach but what I notice is Titan melee just hits a lot harder, leading to more close quarters kills IMO so far.

The jump in PVP is awful, once you hit it you are just a sitting duck up there and nothing you can do about it.

I have noticed, it seems like more Titans than anything else in the crucible though since I started using one. Like damn there a lot of Titans. Probably just my imagination.

How do you enter the CoO area? Do you run through the gate area between the maps or slowly walk? The trick to increase your chances to meet more people there on entry is walk as slowly as possible because the game uses that time for "matchmaking".

Ok, as I see you've tried that too in a later post and as I see no option to kill the comment.

Do you have a real Open Nat and are you behind some provider's cable modem router?:)

As a Titan you mostly need the Armamentarium chest for 2 grenades or MK44 if you're about running.
I hope you are aware that you can break the Titan's jump for a moment and continue? It's like surfing when done right and it's the fastest way to travel.

In Y1 I've mostly used Lightning grenades to get people from protected angles but that requires certain maps. In Y2 I played more Sunbreaker first for the Super and then for the quick grenades refresh but went back to Striker this IB and was quite effective in a more aggressive playstyle with the pulse grenades. They don't kill easy on first hit obviously but they are good for breaking the rhythm of players and block control points. A lot players still get killed because they underestimate them.

Getting multiple kills with Lightning Grenades in Y1 was the most satisfying though but it hardly happens anymore.

He is in India. So probably have low coo population like me in Indonesia.

The only way for me to get coo with guardians in it is only by joining with people from US.

Didn't know the PvE matchmaking depends on the connection that much. I've seen too many red players in CoE and on Patrol.

I have changed my ISP just last month. maybe I should try again. To me CoO was a barren place always. lets see if it was my internet, though it can't be.
