its very quick to upgrade if you camp and keep killing the infinite exploder thrall in Moon Crota mission (wakening or something)

I upgraded one Husk of the Pit to Eidolons Ally (or however it's spelled). It's actually a pretty decent auto rifle. And it will eventually be an arc weapon, which will be useful. I'm working on a second one at the moment. I just pull it out in patrols when there are Hive around (like in Rocket yard) then switch to something else for other enemies. It doesn't take long to get the 500 kills.

i have fully upgraded Eidolon except the last upgrade but its still very weak weapon for me. Maybe because im not accustomed to auto rifle.

I have used ARs quite a bit and even I find it underwhelming. It's not so much the impact, it's the clip size. It has a higher impact rating, but a much smaller clip size than other comparable ARs. I find myself reloading frequently.
Some people that I've talked to seem to like it, but it's not for me.

According to Datto, Destiny was always said by bungie (not sure whether he's referring to those leaked court docs or what) to have big expansions every other year called "comets". So it will be like Destiny in 2014, comet in 2015, Destiny 2 in 2016, another comet in 2017, etc...this kinda clears some things up for me.

Well it was a good run on my new alt...got 8 shards straight up, plus the chest and gauntlets again, plus the Hunger of Crota, which I really wanted. Which means AFAIK I now have all raid weapons.
Theoretically I need as few as 14 shards over the three raids I can do Tuesday. It's in the bag.
I think I have two full sets of 32 gear now as well. I'll kinda hate to shard any of a set, hopefully I'll get enough shards this week I wont have to...
The raid is a broken joke to be honest. every part except sunsingers is easily cheesable, and that part is basically jokingly easy as well. I'd say even an average team can beat the raid in 15-20 minutes with easy cheesing.
It's nowhere near as good as VoG imo, even when not cheesed. VoG always made me feel tense, and felt epic. Not Crota's End...

Welp ! I've given in and bought the game, despite knowing exactly what I am getting into and how disappointing it is.
Couldn't resist buying cause it was £40 for the limited edition that included the expansion pass.
I hope the expansion pass covers the "comet" size DLCs ? Cause if not then it feels like a waste to price the season pass at £35 for only two DLCs. The practice of season pass now is more like two DLCs bundled together for pre order purpose rather than an actual "season pass".

In regards to the Crota raid, :shrug: I agree it's not as good as VoG, but I still like it.
The only thing negative I can say about it, is that it's kind of too easy, even doing everything legit. I can't wait for hard mode.
@nightshade, once you get to level 26+ and start doing raids, you'll have a blast. Especially if you play with friends.

The comet could go a lot of ways but most people seem to think it might be like $40.
It could go so many different ways, also in how they package it for new buyers. It could be like, $60 gets you a disc with Destiny, both expansions, and comet. Existing players pay $30 for Comet. Or something. Doesn't WoW do something like this?
I guess this way, DLC owners in theory paid a lot more for the content ($60 for Destiny vs 20 per expansion +30-40 for Comet). But, I assume WoW kinda works like that.
Like I say, I'd look to however WoW handles things. Destiny seems to take cues from them, understandably.
I think Destiny really needs a truly new environment/planet. It's the same areas over and over, and even comet doesn't really address that. The apparently one new environment is "hive ship". While it's probably a big ship, it doesn't exactly carry planet sized connotations, and also means it will be indoors which is kind of boring.
My guess is the new planets, like Mercury, they are saving for Destiny 2.
Oh and I guess "reef" in House of Wolves, which hopefully is a legit new environment. Would at least mitigate some of my concerns.

yeah just checked the requirements. That PvP thing is awful. I do have Atheon's Epilogue but that thing is pretty much useless in PVP. Will try , though. Thats my only chance of getting a worthwhile Hand Cannon unless I get a Hawkmoon from Crota's first chest, before Bungie tries to remove/patch it. A friend of mine got two hawkmoons from it yesterday but Destiny has no trading
