Destiny [PS3,X360,PS4,XO]

Man, nightfall is now:

A) Virtually impossible to solo
B) Very easy with even 2 people.

I have to think it's not quite the way it should be. Solo should not be 10X harder than 2 people.

Anyways productive night leveling. I got about 8 bounties completed, did nightfall, popped telemetries just before I turned all the bounties in, then rushed to do the daily. It was pretty impressive, telemetry definitely helped, seemed like I filled out about half the tree on various weapons with just that slew of bounties in one fell swoop. Then of course I farmed a bunch of resources.

Gallahorn is now 274 and only has like 2 damage upgrades left, has the wolfpack rounds and everything else. Almost have one of the raid boots I got the other night maxed, has like 1/16 the last circle left.

Xur has crap all again, and now that he doesn't sell heavy's whats to buy? Just some cheap telemtries. After I do the weeklies this week I will have upwards of 100 coins and nothing to buy. Maybe they will become useful again with Dark Below.

I guess I could get Plan C, but I think the reviews I've read said it's only an OK weapon. I dont need more exotics that are only OK, they're so cumbersome and so much less flexible than legendaries. Especially when IB or Gallahorn are gonna have that slot 90% of the time.

Also, not sure the current status on the viability of the Mythoclast but I tried it, Wow, pretty impressed for once. Thing at least feels and looks like a monster. In a slew of so-so exotics, this one really caught my attention, and it SEEMS like a damage monster too. It will also make the kill 20 2X enemies with Fusion rifle even easier.

After much play time, here are 3 simple upgrades I'd love to see:

-More storage slots, at least double.

-An easier way to manage and trade inventory between characters. It doesn't have to be super easy, but a couple subtle changes, like making the vault be on your ship in orbit for example, would help.

-More resources. Even just say, increasing the amount that spawn 10-15%, like they did for PE's, would be super nice. It's one area of the game I feel is out of whack, in terms of being too much of a time sink relative to other things, and also being boring.

Also, Xur's isn't selling heavy packs for 2 weeks now. I eat those things like candy normally cause I had like 60. But now I am down to 31 and I can see supply getting tight if they go back to glimmer purchase only. I think Bungie is up to their crap again. They probably realized glimmer was useless so, whoop, now you need it again! Who cares if we did it in a punishing way yet again rather than a proactive way.

I already have 3 ARC Legendary Fusions and one is 77Wizard with the Accelerated Coils perk so I'm unsure if PlanC is worth it for PvE. If it would be void I would more tempted.

What I'm considering is getting Voidfang a 2nd time to get Str 139 as mine is 121 and Armamentarium at Dis 146 looks like max. But then are they obsolete with the DLC....

Finished a full normal raid with my Titan yesterday. I ate too much food and was still half drunk from Thanksgiving, but I got through it really fast. I had awesome teammates. These guys were like Seal Team Six. Fucking surgical. I was amazed, and I learned a lot.

That said, I got gloves, energy, shards and a 3rd The Last Word hand cannon, which I promptly dismantled in disgust. I really need better weapons, or else I'm gonna end up as a bitter old man with nothing but pea shooters.

Why oh why didn't I listen to Strange and buy Patience and Time a few weeks back? God I'm a dumbass.

I've a question to all Destiny players. If Bungie introduced microtransactions to buy resources and specific weapons, would you be in favour, against, or not care?

Depends what you mean by "micro transaction". They would need a sensible balance. I probably wouldn't care though. My gripe is with the long time commitment and correspondingly shitty payoff.

Things like $1 / 69p for 100 whatever you buy/build stuff with, and $3-5 to buy a particular item outright. Obviously price matters, so maybe people can list a maximum price they'd be willing to spend on resources and items.

I wouldn't pay for resources, but I wouldn't care if other did.

I would pay $20 for a goddamn Ice Breaker though. I think that daddo guy Rangers always quotes put it best in his YouTube review when he said the IB is the only gun in the game that can trivialize some encounters or missions.

Your prices are too low, many buy at these level.

NRP: IB is primary usefull due to it auto recharge (that recharge your secondary munition), Invictus got this also and is very easy to got.

Yeah, but shotguns are useless in PvE and that particular exotic bounty requires Crucible play, which I have no interest in whatsoever.

About microtransactions, I hope they keep those out period.

For example, they need to "fix" resource gathering (imo anyways), not intentionally make it difficult, so they can charge for them. Microtransactions will ruin the incentive structure.

For guns it would be really bad, as a key point of these games is "look what rare thing I have (earned) and you dont".

Heck there is always some complaining now when Xur sells a certain weapon for in game currency. Some people feel like they "earned" that gun and now every tom dick and harry will have it. This would be multiplied if people could buy the guns. At least with the in game sale, there is still a somewhat difficult barrier to entry (acquiring the strange coins needed to purchase).

And it would ruin the game for me. I want to acquire Fatebringer and Corrective Measure. If I could just buy them it would ruin the whole point.

I would rather pay for DLC's, and this is why people whining about the DLC being $20 instead of $15 are imo silly. As basically a MMORPG, this game is going to need some sort of recurring revenue stream. And traditional DLC seems like the best, least objectionable way to do this for the consumer, in lieu of a monthly subscription.

BTW in Dark Below vids, it shows new vendor Eris will be selling heavy ammo synth now. Although I dont know the cost. I have suspicion Bungie will make them a little more expensive.

I get the criticism against micro transactions, but this sentiment here is bullshit imo. If someone buying a gun you were willing to jump through numerous tedious hoops to get bothers you, you need psychotherapy.

Leveled up a second warlock and ran the raid again and got Hezen Vengeance. I now only need Timepiece, Fatebringer, Praetorian Foil and the Mythoclast.

I've never used any special messageboard to find players for the raid because I can gather a group fairly easily for normal, but it's much harder to find people for the hard raid. I still have a checkpoint at the gatekeeper that I want to finish but I can never find enough 30s.

I'm completely against microtransactions for game mechanic relevant items in paid games. Doing it for cosmetic stuff I can live with though. Anyway, the 99Euro for the Guardian Edition is already too high for the content.

This one is happy he listened and bought patience and time :)

I am also waiting for ib, but when I run out of ammunition I just wait for the game to refill it. But I don't solo nightfall
