Democrats sink lower.

I've never had any party affiliation because I disagree with the notion that I have to accept a party "platform". I neither agree with the Democrats nor Republicans on most issues. And although I consider myself a small 'l' libertarian, I disagree with the big-L Libertarians too (mostly on how far and quick they want to take things, and how they have a simple explanation for every ill (e.g. governments fault).

I am pro-choice, pro-gay marriage/adoption, anti-gay discrimination (not sure I want it enshrined as a law), pro-minority (but anti quota, reparations, pro to class/need based help), pro-drugs.

But also, pro-gun, pro-military, favor small government, forced privatized saving accounts (Chile, and now, Swedish model), little taxes, pro free market, free trade, globalization, school voucers/choice, anti-most unions, anti most "progressive" laws.

I am not opposed to a social safety net in principle, I am opposed to the current ponzi scheme implementation, which I feel is fundamentally unsound. I am not opposed to publicly funded education, I am opposed to anti-choice. Why do most lefties feel that I should be able to have single-payer health insurance that allows me to choose my doctor, but when it comes to education, I am not allowed to choose my school, but must endure a monopoly British NHS-like system where the institutions themselves are government ran.

Basically, dems and reps annoy me because they just play politics and aren't philosophically consistent (e.g. anti-free trader reps), and Libertarians annoy me because they want to go cold turkey and don't have a realistic pragmatic approach, are incompetent at selling their ideas.

Greens I just depise.

What he said, except the thing about the Greens. I've seen some pretty hot Greens. :D
