PC port seems to be lazy though...
It is beyond lazy. I think it was the creative director that said that nothing special will be done for the PC version because they don't want any version to be better than another version. WTF?
I'm really not liking the idea of a 2nd human partner in a horror game, literally takes away the fear factor for me.
If done well it could actually heighten the horror aspect. Imagine having to split up in order to accomplish a task. Then, imagine having to wait while your partner does his thing so you can do yours. And if you are that other guy, having to wait for your partner to do his thing after you do yours so you can move on.
All the while enemies are either attacking or you can see them creeping closer and closer.
Or a situation where you have to push something. And your partner has to defend you. Only you get to a point where you have to keep going but your partner has to leave in order to allow you pass some point. But you can't let go of what you are moving because then it'll start going back to where it was originally. Only you can see and hear the enemies getting closer to you.
Just because it's coop doesn't mean it has to lack tension, suspense, and horror.
Then again, considering what they said, I'm sure they'll screw up the infinite possibilities to make a coop horror experience even scarier than a single player horror experience.
