Days Gone (Sony Bend) [PS4, PC]

Could it be that it is a testing ground for different types of tech? You got game, you rip out some tech and replace it with something new and unleash it upon a bunch of players, albeit a minor group? But most likely a larger group than an internal test would be, or its just cheaper to test on us than run a full internal test?

Speaking of Sony 1st party games with "Days" in the title, whatever happened to 8 Days?

Hmm, Wiki says it was just canceled. London Studios is no more?

Wow it was shown 15 years ago and canceled around 2008! Time flies.

I think shows and movies about zombies are played out now. So maybe something like an action movie would endure? Hitman has been around and Uncharted could be seen as like an action movie. It actually is an action movie!

With Google's help....

Why It Was Cancelled
At June 4, 2008 it was announced that Eight Days, along with The Getaway 3, had been cancelled due to the lack of online mode according to the president of Sony Computer Entertainment, Shuhei Yoshida. He also stated that Eight Days wasn't failing in production but it's main reason is that Sony Computer Entertainment is moving towards Online-supported games and Eight Days did not fit that strategy.

Plus the Engine was meh

did they ever use the UC engine for any other games?

try to develop another property with high production values?

UC was unknown but the quality of the engine and storytelling made it popular.

I don’t know if Sony had another team which could do another game using the UC engine justice though.
