At least all the MURCers still remember G00 tech demo and the tiny girl flying around on the main role.
and well, also all MURCers remember the lawsuit between Matrox and nVidia about nVidia taking a ppl from Matrox.
(though the tech demo was done by Digital Illusions, this was a trail to real subject I am coming on this post

Interesting enough, nVidia's "here we are coming from" -list didn't have Matrox... and though nVidia won that case, they have been VERY quiet about it.
year after the supposed "employee stealing", saw the daylight of nVidia's new multi monitor tech: nView. what is interesting, compared to their old TwinView, it's much more advanced even in dual monitor mode and basically has all same, almost identical, working modes as Matrox has had since G400 on it's dual head technology.
there's rumours that G800 project stalled, because basically the whole dev team went under nVidia. and the only ones who stayed at M on that dev team, finished G800 to G550, which has a lot of things missing. But I don't know how true this is though.
