You guys are going to leave me hanging high and dry again ?
I haz the game now. A handsome looking package. The booklet in my pre-order bundle contains only concept art. I don't want to buy a strategy guide. Looks like I'll need to scout the net for tips first.
When I saw people on my friends list playing Demon's Souls for the first time, I used to send them a message:
Subject: A friendly msg from Verizon
Body: Can I invade you now ?
It usually sent them scrambling. I guess it's my turn to receive the message now.
Think of it as a valuable experience that'll only make you stronger for it.
I'm thinking of buying a guide. The little mini guide that came with Demon's Souls was awesome. It was nice having an overview handy of all the weapons, their upgrade paths, the armours, ect. It beats going through Demon's Souls obscure menu's to compare things.
I feel just the same. You guys are making me go weak in the knees ! I don't want to buy it cos I know I will never have the time and the diligence to play it through, but oh I really want a game that makes me forget every other game out there for 6 months or so. I am sick of running after games, I want my PS2 era back when I used to play just one game at a time and be totally into it from head to toe. The lovely time of STOC, MGS3, MGS2, Killzone, GOW1, GOW2,etc, etc....... sniff... I think I'll just concentrate on R3 right now !
I feel just the same.
It's got to the point that I have difficulties deciding what to play, so I end up not playing anything and watch some movie or TV series instead.
According to a surprised Kmart Gamer, the avatar of all things gaming and Kmart related, the PlayStation 3 version of Dark Souls outsold Rage on the PS3 yesterday, defying expectations, while Rage reigned supreme on the Xbox 360.
Good sense prevailing over gamers. I think this has to do with average age of gamers on the PS3 being on the higher side, they want something more cerebral to munch on than just another adrenalin rush shooter.
Or alternatively and far more likely (and less inflammatory) it may be because this is the sequel to a PS3 exclusive. Xbox gamers probably haven't even heard of the IP.

I'm going try and kill him tomorrow.
