^Depends. I played a couple of emulated GameBoy games lately (Castlevania II and Gargoyle's Quest among them) and they brought me right back. Some games really do hold up surprisingly well.
Awesome music as well. Probably one of the aspects I miss the most from earlier games. The limited hardware really forced them to come up with catchy and totally awesome tunes. Now it's mostly overproduced (fake) orchestrations masking otherwise boring and unremarkable compositions.
I still have my grey fat Gameboy. My first console on the other hand was the SNES, but I bought it so late into it's lifespan that I hardly have any fond memories of it. It got replaced with a Playstation rather quickly.
