Condemned and Full Auto look absolutely killer.

Just how much difference?I say it's not even enough to justify a 2-3X increase when they're claiming that the R520 is so much better.I thought the Xbox360's R500 GPU was supposed to be the steroid version of the R520 but if this turns out to be true then we should not a see a 2 gen difference between consoles and PCs.No wonder ATi kept delaying the launch the R520 to see how the G70 turns out.

I'm pretty sure that all these game were made with a x800 they might get inproved before luanch since developers have final kits but I think they look good it's probally 4 game out now on pc that can even compete with some of the graphics that have been shown running on xbox

I think people are going to be saying the samething about ps3 when they start showing real games because all the power is coming from the cpu so it's going to be about animation, physics, AI, and how everything blows up like in the full atuo video

I was pretty unimpressed with Condemned, untill I saw that MTV trailer that is. It just looked extremely cool in motion, and those thugs were pretty well animated (although the 'sound' was horrid). Too bad I haven't enjoyed an FPS in the last 10 years or so, which most likely means I won't bother with this one no matter how good it looks, heh. But the screenshots most certainly don't do the game justice.

Full Auto on the other hand left me with a pretty big 'meh' overall.

Condemned: The game where people whack each other on the head with metal pipes.

Its certainly a novel concept...

Condemned and Full Auto both look like alot of fun. The graphics aren't what I had hoped for but those are still good launch titles to have on the system.

You'd think that by now the heads would be, I don't know, round.

I believe the shadowing/lighting is like D3 (it at least appeared dynamic in some scenes) meaning high poly characters would create issues with complex shadows. Maybe 2nd or 3rd gen games can work around this, but so far it has been a real killer on top end PCs.

The good news is that when the game is moving I never even noticed. The people are a lot higher quality detail than D3 IMO. And the levels also... and not as dark. Gameplay is an known, but it moved well and had a great atmosphere.

Condemned its such a great idea of a game. You have to view the video clips to really appreiate it.

Yeah, not usually a game I would follow BUT seeing it in motion really impressed me. A quick TV glance or screenshot does not do it justice.

Actually, I think that will be a big issue this gen. Some of the biggest advancements will be in animation (more fluid and interactive). That never shows up in screenshots but is a MAJOR part of believability. Nice to have realistic models, but to convince us they are believable they need to move how we expect. That is where GR3 and GW really impressed also, at least they did to me.

Here's a video of Condemned[Better quality than the MTV one]

I said it when they first announced this game and I'll repeat it now that I saw a video of the gameplay. This game looks like trash.

The art style is really interesting, but the execution is not.
And the gameplay gave me vibes of "Played it all before".
Wasn't the game supposed to let you play a detective (*or something) who is specialized in psychopaths(*)?

The video just show a beating the living crap out of some dude with a pipe and a shotgun... Whoa...

Oh we will have to endure through a lot of titles that are glitz and not play. This looked like RE1... hack and slash. Very 1996... but some people like that :? I have no clue of the back drop of the story... to me it looked like they are on a RE like theme (which outside of RE4 they really have outlived themselves in gameplay). But a big part of that genre is fear and scaryness... who knows, will wait for people to play it before I judge it, but definately not my style of game (not much of a Doom/RE player).

Artistically, I liked the part where the spotlight came through the broken down cieling and you could see the projection of the cross beams. Nice lighting effects in that movie in places.
