Bloodborne: [PS4] (From Software)

Professional fighters get winded after a throwing full strength haymakers for a full minute can get winded and their gloves weigh barely anything. Swinging a heavy sword and hitting a target at full strength will get you tired very quickly.

Different fighters with different training/specialization, physique get tired differently.
If your profession in life is to swing a sword or throw a punch you don't tire "very quickly".
I would be a total failure as a boxer if I ended up exhausted after 1/2 round.

P.S.
BTW I was thought by my teacher to use my full strength punches for the right moment.
Throwing full strength punches continuously during a match it's dangerous not to mention that is also rarely possible.

I am derailing this thread, isn't it?!

I'm a wimp and suck at hard games, but it you go slow and read about what is coming (i.e. guides) you can make it through. I finished Demon's Souls and got pretty far into Dark Souls. If you play alone, go offline. If you are going to stay online, go co-op.
I will do my best to get a hold of how to survive, I only have so much patience with games these days :).
Hype is going through the roof now :runaway: !!!!!
Now that is looking mighty cool, need a high bitrate version stat!

I checked in the morn. Are u using the US store? Cos the release dates are different for almost all stores this time.
Yep, US store. I checked a day earlier to see if I had auto download for the game enabled, and noticed that the preload date was on 03/22/2015. Yesterday around noon in my time zone went into notifications and confirmed it was downloading.

Just 15 hours left and no preload :-/.....looks like we are not getting preload for this one....which is weird when the game went gold long back !

IGN/Kotaku/Eurogamer/Giantbomb are still not done with reviews, but are all liking it a lot.

None of what I've seen of this game really appeals but those scores. What am I missing. Hmmm.

It is a soul game, a very hard game but with great gameplay and level design. Beat the game is very satisfying but not for all people. Soul's game have good arts and atmosphere but are bad technically. Most of the time bad framerate and long loading. This time the framerate is correct less slowdown but the long loading are there but art is great and benefit to be on current gen console.

It is not for everyone. It is a 2 to 3 millions sales game in a niche genre but cult for people liking it. Often it is the best game of generation for the fans.

I think this time the sales will be a bit higher than usual and many newbies will not like the game because you need to die and retry. The game never take your hand and you need to find yourself the mechanisms of the game and learn pattern and weakness of enemies. It is an old school games.

Edit:

I know someone who try to kill an optional boss on Dark Souls 2, he stays 8 hours in two session before beat it. The boss had a one kill attack.

Even if you've never played Demon's Souls or Dark Souls, you've still likely heard that these games can be incredibly challenging. Bloodborne is similarly tough, but (for the most part) fair. I've played Demon's Souls and Dark Souls extensively, with different characters through multiple play-throughs. But I still found Bloodborne to be hard enough that I've considered very seriously snapping my DualShock 4 in half and whipping those broken pieces against a wall.

From Software's games, from Demon's Souls to Bloodborne, are designed to be difficult, esoteric and frequently perplexing. There is little in the way of a tutorial, and item descriptions can be vague at best. Everyone in the game, from the NPCs you encounter to whoever wrote the game's UI descriptions, kind of assumes you know what you've gotten yourself into. Bloodborne, like its predecessors, can be deliberately obtuse.

the only souls game i played was on PC and it have
- bad graphic
- slow game
- non existent story if you did not explore the story yourself.
- small hallways
- enemy that very hard to kill
- horrible UI and especially for the items.
- die a lot.

from reading the EG impression of Bloodborne, it seems the game will generally be the same but technically better and have faster battle (not the battle duration, but the action is faster).

Yes it will be like this minor the bad graphic and slow game this time. Don't know for UI and small hallways.

the bloodborne seems having the small hallways but looks "more vast" because its no longer solid wall (but your play area is still the small way).

i wont be playing this game so i have spoiled my self with some videos :D

I can understand it is not a game for everyone, there is not middling reaction to Bloodborne. Hate or Love.
