yeah, I remember the first time I saw an SUV limo... i busted out laughing and couldnt stop! the STUPIDITY of it! I can understand having a limo... especially a limo with a hot tub in it (I plan on getting one someday 8) ) but what the heck is the point of an SUV limo? Are you going to go offroading in it?

I take it this would be your first car purchased with money you saved from your paper route, right? ;)
Nah, ive lately made a killing in the stock market, coupled with a new business venture (hopefully) in the next few weeks. So i think its time to splurge. Ive never really need to own my own car, for the last 13 years we(family) have had more than 3 cars.

I dont consider myself a car person, so i might just get something cheap and spend the rest on computer parts. lol.

camry's are good dependable cars. i hear the corolla also scored high on consumer reports this year

I seriously doubt any car would turn me into a car person. They are just objects that move you from A to B. I rarely listen to music any more, dont own a cell phone, and am pretty good with directions so most of the wow features would be uninteresting to me. What i did like about the lexus was that it was a hybrid that would use less gas.

ps passats look nice too.

I've had two and they're great. More for "car people" in some ways (poor man's BMW), but great cars and very safe.

Plus, you can always say that Volvo is now owned by Ford (for that matter, Saab is now GM).

People almost stopped buying Volvo here since it's been owned by Ford. Talk about a HUGE downgrade. There's only one car crappier than european* Fords, which would be Fiat. Volvo was one of the best cars prior to that. They are still much better than a regular Ford - those poor swedish engineers are doing as much as they can for the crappy Mondeo platform they're forced to work with.

* note "european", I don't know how good/bad US Ford models are, these are not even related except for the name AFAIK

LOL - I didn't mean to imply that Ford buying Volvo was a good thing. It was just a comment with regard to an earlier concern about hauling American clients around.

Given that some Hondas and Toyotas are built in Alabama or somewhere, Golfs come from Mexico, and Saab is a GM company, the whole idea of buying American is something of an anachronism. But some people still care.

well there are certainly a lot of non-american cars out there...

what about Porsche, BMW, Volkswagon, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, Lotus, Bentley, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot?

you have to consider a) how many things a car has that can go wrong and, b) how many MAJOR problems there are. For instance, slid-out cupholders often have problems eventually... is that a major problem? No! Would I rather have slide-out cupholders than a coupple of dents in the plastic centerpiece? Yeah, I'll take the nice unintrusive ones even if they get jammed and I have to spend two minutes fixing them after 3 years of driving the car...

Take a look at the winner of that list (Hyundai Sonata). LOL!!!

Would you like to drive that car? Me definitely not. I prolly wouldn't take it if someone gave it to me for free (well I would, I'd trade it in for a trunk full of beer or something like that).

could be worse... they could have picked a Kia

I'm still gonna vote for the 350Z even if it is impractical as hell!

It just is too much fun to drive and makes me smile too much. 8)

That's what's important. To me, it certainly belongs into category "quality". :)

We've never gotten a vehicle before only because it was sooo fun, but I highly recomend being irresponsible like that to anyone else in a quandry.

Life is too short, take BIIIIG bites! 8)

I'd go for the 350Z if it had four doors. Not exactly a good company car for taking customers out or long haul sales trips (8 hr/day)...though it would make a great weekend car.
