Yes it is. It's going to be brutal.

Though some rumors are floating around about a patch/update. I can't recall if it's for BF4 or COD. In either case, I highly doubt any patches will be released that increases resolution of a console game. It just doesn't happen so it seems way too wishful hoping on their part.

Video output in Full HD 1080p requires 1080p native display.

It doesn't really confirm the game is really native 1080p... ?

But if you check the games that aren't 1080p, they don't have that qualifier. Only the native ones.

I don't know, I just find it really weird that they'd post native resolution on there.
Supported resolution, that I can understand, like they do on the back of the game box.

Well technically all games will be 1080p as they'll be scaled anyway. The only reason to print the resolution is if they are native at that.

Nar, the way Dice has been dodging the 1080p answer simply means it wont be 1080p on either console. Even just one of the consoles reaches 1080p they would totally scream it out to the press and compile it to their trailers seeing as it's a perfect ammunition for the COD 1080p/60fps counter. But no, the PSN 1080p claim is simply the output, not the native res. You would think they highlight it with huge fonts of 1080p/60fps as one of the big feature if it is indeed the case. 900p is as safe of a guess as 720p on the Bone now folks.

DICE (or rather EA) wouldn't go out of their way to highlight the res on either console if there is a disparity since they don't want to step on MS toes, spoiling their tight relationship. Interestingly and in contrast, ATV did a few days ago with the Ghosts PS4 1080p IGN footage and also non-confirming on twitter that dedicated servers will be available on all platforms a little while ago as well.

Anyways it won't be long now, we'll know next week when direct feed is released. FWIW Famousmortimer has claimed 1080p on PS4 but we'll see.

They said they will probably have a review for the PS4 version but not the X1 because they didn't play it.

FINALLY GREEN LIGHT.

Battlefield 4 on PS4 is 900p on PS4. So speculation could be rampant, but this is where they are at now.

Also COD Ghosts has framerate issues to be ironed out by launch. Both machines.

One more bit of information, but working on getting another source for that will be nigh impossible, I have informed Kagari about it.

I hate to be so right about my prediction though. Hope it's not too much of a blurry mess on my 65".

I haven't seen any mentions but I don't think there ever was a console game with separate resolutions for its SP and MP though. I can definitely live with 1080p/30fps for the sp. But yeah at least it's above 720p dear god.

Some very cool info in there about some of the maps. One map has a flag on a moving train !

That video gives me a headache. That extremely rapid first person camera pans is extremely annoying and unrealistic. Also the graphics does not look very good imo regardless of resolution. I'm hoping that is the lessor of the two versions.
