Yeah, because the PC version looks liike absolute crap compared to this.

actually looks pretty good compared to the pc version when you see them side by side....

wonder how the draw distance etc compares
 
Those shots show how far a high-polygon model can go. It's got pretty blurry, low res textures, and generally lacks cripsness, but the high polygon models override that completely and it looks very 'next'gen', the lighting as well really sets it off.

next gen is simple: high polys + more realistic lighting = next gen GFX

It's like the polar opposite of PD0 which gave everything very high res bump-mapped textures, and even good lighting, but kept it's xbox level low-poly models and was decidedly not next generation.

Nope , you didnt notice the size of the 720 jpegs(120,140,160 kb)... Is not possible to judge the detail of the textures.
I think that the closeups are from a cutscene or something like that.
I dont believe that this level of character detail-polycount is achievable in a game with huge maps like BF.

EDIT: Just watch the soldier's jacket texture in the 1st screenshot and the tank textures in the last screenshot and you ll see that is exactly the same problem with the 99N shots . Very high compressed jpegs.

After buying COD2 for the Xbox360 (my first ever fps game for a console), I'm might actually really look forward to this for my Xbox360. Even though I own the game for PC, it doesn't look like that on my X700 Pro :p.

Somone should probably warn you that Modern Combat feels like something that came out of an arcade, what with the rapid fire and "agility" powerups and all.
