Batman: Arkham Knight [PS4,XO]

I don't think so - sure it has aliasing, but it's still a far more elaborate rendering mode compared to the actual gameplay shots I've linked to before.

It's completely obvious to me that the engine has two very different rendering modes, even if the cinematics are real time rendered they're still using a very significant upgrade in asset quality, lighting and probably shading as well. The screenshots also have supersampled AA.

Isn't that Naughty Dog's MO as well?

They're setting themselves up for a serious internet backlash so far, IMHO.

I don't know.
I saw discontent among games when the final gameplay looked inferior to previously shown gameplay but cinematics that look better than gamepaly has been widely "forgiven" over the past years.

Game of E3, I have not played any of the last gen Batman games so this will be my first Batman game, it looks amazing, Rocksteady are badass.

I'm waiting for GamerSyde to upload the video, No point watching it on youtube as it's barely any better than the low quality stream I watched it with earlier.

Will there be a thread/poll where we can vote for game of E3?

Delay sucks for sure. I think it's probably going to be the worst Christmas season for gaming in a long time. Everything that I want to play has been delayed.

I guess there will be COD, BF, Destiny, sports games, racing games .... that it? Not a lot there I'm interested in.

Same for me!

Saw it first last night during Sony's conference, but Mobile Suit Batman still looks very good in the morning. :)

Yeah that looked amazing alright, so much detail went into just about every corner of the level and the characters of course.

Wow, that looked incredible. Gorgeous city presentation and very smooth transition.

Aaannnddd this was the PC version... Rocksteady just confirmed live on Gamespot that the Sony trailer which says "PS4 footage" is actually PC footage...smh

Actually I kind of guessed it is, smoke and particles looked accelerated through GPU PhysX(as usual in a batman game), they have high density and react to geometry. The game is still a work in progress though, there were some very close pop in issues.

I thought it was running on a pc as soon as I saw how smooth the framerate was. It doesnt really bother me that its running on pc to smooth the framerate out because you cant expect a game a year out to run that smooth without a bit of bruteforce power. I dont like it that it used nvidia physx effects that wont be on the PS4 unless it does have something similar.
