Batman: Arkham Knight [PS4,XO]

I have a feeling I'll end up waiting for the Game of the Year Edition (and PC upgrade to boot). >_>

I quite enjoyed Arkham Origins over Arkham City though.

They should add the hit effects from batman 1966 if you use Adam west batman suit. :yep2:

This sure looks like a lot of fun. You know, that thing we're meant to have while playing games? Seems like a forgotten concept these days.

Too many vocal people pushing for political correctness, gender/racial/sexualilty inclusiveness and "games transcending fun as modern art". That's what.

The developer of these very same Arkham series took a hit when the professionally offended noticed how the goons called Catwoman a bitch (forgetting that Batman himself was also frequently called a bitch, though Bruce Wayne is a white male so that's fine).

Even Nintendo has been targeted lately. Because saving a princess is suddenly a terrible thing to do.

Yes, why can't the princess save herself? Why do you people keep putting women in positions of peril and require males to come to their rescue? Why is this a permissible theme?

Hell, I almost fell on the floor when I heard that there was serious criticism of the latest Cinderella movie because "society should have moved passed stories where males rescue females" by now.

I saw the movie this weekend and truth be told, from a morale-inducing point of view, the story is terrible (as were most Disney-adapted folklore stories until the 90s).
It's not that she's saved by the Prince (it seemed to me that the prince needed as much saving as she did, since love is supposed to be a two-way thing).
The story tells you that if you're being mistreated, you should keep doing what you're doing be nice to everyone and just hope for better days. Because eventually a magical fairy godmother will help you get the attention from a wealthy prince/princess and he/she will fall for you at first sight and solve all your problems.

These stories are terrible for a growing kid. They induce the idea that all they need to face misfortune is faith and the solution to their problems doesn't rely in changing things by themselves.

Ahem.. and Batman.. erm..

I really liked Affleck in Chasing Amy, Dogma and Argo but I can't see him as Batman. I could be wrong, he may be awesome. But in my head it ain't working. Unlike Bale where when I head he had in cast in Nolan's Batman Begins, I immediately thought, Bale is so Batman. He'll get so rich from movies that one day he'll probably just say, "fuck it, I'm beaching Batman". Because he's nuts and Batman was always on the edge :yep2: Keaton had nuts down too.

Hm, it looks very fun...always, but when I actually play these Batman games the fighting is just so boring to me...I just don't have fun with combat. I think I would immediately enjoy it more when the enemies don't take so much hits to k.o....all those dramatic and impactfull looking combos, but the standard villain still stands up...

But when I played Arkham Origins, I thought that Bruce looks similar to Ben Affleck... at least Affleck looks closer to Bruce the game version vs Bale.

Edit: also I remember that Bruce the cartoon version face profile is similar to Affleck, so I assume the comics too? I'm not really exposed to the US comics.

Anyway, I'm hoping my Kaveri rig is up to the task of running this game...

Guys I wonder why nobody have noticed but the Batmsn vs Superman movie will most likely be based on The Dark Knight Returns

It was one bad ass comic where Bruce fought Superman.

If you see the teaser image the revealed the insignia on Batman was this

On the comic and cartoon adaptation is also this

They probably choose Affleck because they wated someone who can fit easier the body structure and looks of that comic

Totally, look at Christian Bale in his last film right before Batman Begins:

Back then, I instantly thought "Dude, this guy is soooo Batman!".

I hadn't (and still haven't) seen The Machinist but had seen Christian Bale in American Psycho, Shaft, Reign of Fire, and Equilibrium, which is what convinced me that he'd make a great Batman. He's an actor renowned for really working at his physique for a part, as is Tom Hardy who played Bane. Bale is so Batman he practically played Batman in Terminator Salvation :yep2:
