Its actually Terminator Salvation - possibly uses the graw engine

Yup, Diesel 2 engine. On another note, they seem to have butchered the visuals comapred to GRAW 2 that also uses Diesel 2 engine. Most notably the lighting.

theyve butchered a lot more as in levels smaller than the levels in deusex 2
and game length if you remove the cut scenes of i recon less than 2 hours

cut scene
small map loads (seriously map takes less than 5 seconds to load)
"oh noes bad guys" - cue 2 minute fight

rinse and repeat

@nebula

very repetitive and very short....

and with the ip they had it could of been so good
imagine trying to get from one area of the city to another dodging skynet patrols, setting up ambushes ect.
instead its start level in a small arena, enter bad guys, kill them, cutscene repeat

Thanks for the resume. I will avoid this game like the plague and wow at the wasted potential.

Wow, the UT3 Titan Pack looks miles better than the original - finally detailed textures.

True and they added new graphical stuff, effects enhanced, lighting, motionblur etc with Titan Pack and latest patch. Really a sight at 1680x1050 and using 4xAA + TSAA at 60fps+.

Used to be my fav map in UT ! But this UT3 visuals somehow never clicked with me. Didn't buy the game. They just don't look Next gen kind to me. All looks like a single shader with procedural normal maps.

These screens do evoke old memories of college competitions though  !

EDIT: some of the screens are looking really good. Well, lets see more, maybe its time to buy !

Some maps in UT3 are nothing special in the visual department. Others are very impressive. For example Eden Inc looks amazing. Also you can chose postprocess options like muted/vivid(ugh)/intense(yay!). IMO the samller indoor/semi outdoor maps are the best looking. Texture detail is also very high, PC approved for sure (latest patch + titan pack) for those maps.

I was playing with the editor and wanted to see if tweaks could be made to lighting. Well it seems like ecerytime I toyed with a light the whole maps lightsources started to cast realtime stencil shadows in insane res or something with razor sharp edges. To bad I get 5fps in 1680x1050 and it glitches and it doesnt really look better! XD

And yeah it is really cheap. I actually bought Collectors edition at launch but sold it later becouse it was IMO broken and it lacked motionblur. But I re-bought the regular version some weeks ago for 10$ since I was satisfied with the Titan pack + latest patch changelist. with 4xAA and TSAA and solid 60fps (actually my fps with 32bots is more like 55-60fps and not like the screenshots as I forgot to turn off my VM in the background XD). But seriously I think I need to lock framerate at 40fps or something becouse it is just to fast, makes me dizzy! :p

Have any patches added AA support or do you still have to force it?

UE3 is capable of some nice things but the lack of AA in most UE3 games kills me. If Mass Effect 2 doesn't have AA support I will be :devilish:.

I set in the config to use 4xAA but I still need to force it on. TSAA seems to be working to unless the vegetation/fence edges are smoothed by default.

Tropico 3, developer bullshot... is this allowed :) :

If not, I'll return with shots from the release version in a few months!

Looks quite nice with 64xSSAA .

I like the art and use of color. Good work!

And hey since you're being conservative with rendering techniques us NVIDIAns might be able to force some 2x2 supersampling love with the right hardware.

How about teasing us ATi users with forced SSAO?.. :devilish:

 Honestly forced SSAO isn't as great as it sounds. Sometimes it looks great but other times... not so much. Still kudos to NVIDIA for giving us the option and making it actually usable performance wise.

Forced supersampling OTOH is just a kewl as it sounds :devilish:. I wish NV would incorporate it into the stock control panel.

All this talk about UT3 made me download the titan pack and latest patch to give the game another whirl. Damn I forgot how much fun this game is :D

And for that matter how gorgeous it looks. Its still easily one of the best looking games on my PC. I play at the same setting you mentioned above. Not sure of my framerate but it feels like a silky 60fps. What an engine!
