Yes your right though it has been around for years. My old man says it occasionaly - he's 60+. I think it has a wider use amongst the banana benders and most likely comes from WW2 times. My flat mate from Qld says it whenever the world new's comes on but I have never heard a mexican use the expression.

I actually just saw one of those today here in house. A very nice restauration, black with all white interieur and enough chrome to make you blind *drool*. I was truly tempted to steal it... wouldn't have gotten far, though
