No one has any idea but the die is GP102 size with none the perf.Is it a fact that Vega was targeting the 1080ti instead of the 1080?
No.I still think RDNA 3 is worse off
Bling.DLSS alone makes it hard to consider an AMD GPU without a huge price difference.
We're talking core h/w PPA metrics where Vega was an absolute catastrophe and RDNA3 is still manageable, even if it doesn't clock 3.5GHz.
Yes it does!No it doesn't rule anything, and it's was never the nature of UE to rule anything
Engine development costs were far cheaper back then and barrier to entry far lower.UE3 and UE4 despite being used everywhere in lots of games never dictated anything, they never replaced other engines or pushed them away, and they never dictated how GPUs evolve in major ways
You're forgetting the important bits.
Gamedev got a lot more expensive overall, especially at AA/AAA scale.
UE5 is a cheap pathway to a good AAA engine so it DID in fact devour middle-market and is now going into AAA just fine.
Like CDPR killed RED engine off in favour of UE5.
Writing's on the wall.
Pretty sure the 7th gen brownwave-core visuals were a distinct UE3 collateral (but don't quote me on that, 15 years ago and all).yet it never influenced anything.
