Isn't this already out on Steam by a different developer? The Haunting: Blood Water Curse by Blue Box Game Studios. Or is that a different Game / Title, just how many different titles can a small group or individual work on at a time?

Even the font colors are reminiscent of the Phantom Pain plus in the game there is a ghost that looks just like Lisa from PT :LOL:

And someone connected it with this, which was from the PT "error" screen :LOL:

I dont thing Haunting is the same thing. Its an sucky project that was on steam and ut sounds irrational that they made such a fuss about that

They put up a tweet earlier today, once again apologizing regarding the delay. Like, seriously. Do they never test this crap out before they are due to go live with something? It makes them look dumb, honestly.

This is probably wishful thinking, but it COULD in theory at least, be a Silent Hill game. Kojima has been known to pull stunts like this in the past. Yet on other forums, some users act like fans are to blame for this mess, as if we are not supposed to be putting two and two together, and that "it's our fault" for looking into things too much.

What's difficult to determine is that survival horror games often share a similar theme or premise, so realistically speaking, any Fatal Frame game could be like Silent Hill in terms of the atmospheric tone, and even the recent first person Resident Evil games felt somewhat supernatural, with that creepy Miranda and the house with the dolls, and the trees. So it's not easy to connect this to one game.

Either way, I doubt this is connected to Konami's franchise. They already said so. And this looks like a glorified indie game. It's only getting this much buzz because of all of the hearsay that has amounted about it. Coincidentally, it's also a certain anniversary of a certain demo tomorrow. A demo for a game that was, (gosh!) cancelled years ago. ;)

As for the stuff on Pop Topic. If an "insider" says one thing, you have to take it with a grain of salt. Typically, they'll start any rumor mill if it's going to get people riled up, which isn't very hard to do if it is about a long left alone series they admire too much.

At least they try to keep people in the loop on Twitter. Some company like Capcom would not update anybody on Twitter nearly as much.

I still want to know what Akira Yamaoka was talking about, earlier this year. He was in an interview and said something that was rather curious to me. While I cannot remember his exact words, it was something like, "the one you are kind of hoping to hear about". That was months ago, and I don't know what he was referring to. But it sounded like it was Silent Hill.

You know this is crazy. Even Google translate is broken just to feed the conspiracy :LOL:

But if you reverse it

:LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:
Man if this turns out to be just another indie game.......it's one of the craziest mind/reality bending phenomenons that EVER happened in the gaming industry

A few people noticed this mostly unseen guy in that 4 second tease the other night, kind of looked like James Sunderland. Well, his jacket and shoes. :D

It was indeed.

I think it's cool how little things that get referenced in one game, can be featured in a whole new storyline in a sequel. Like what happened with Walter, the serial killer. He was mentioned in a news article, and later became a major antagonist.
