* VC games can be stored on SD cards too; regardless, losing your copy is not fatal - free re-downloads.
* downloaded games are locked to the machine.
* cube games will be playable only through (surprise!) cube controllers.
* region lock is for real - units will be able to download only from their regional site.

There's a small flap on top of the console. Underneath there're 4 GCN ports and 2 mem card slots.
