oh well, since you are native I am going to edit it. It sounds like jargon to me, but for a native like you it's easier to discern what is correct and what isn't. I speak galician like 99% of the time, and I write some things by hearsay. Sometimes I think in english, but not many. It happened more often when I sang lyrics in Rock Band using the mic, but even so, the difference between you and me is that since you are native english for you is like watching a TV in full colour, where for me it's like watching a black & white TV.

Ha ha! Many native English speakers will be unaware! It's not technically wrong - it's just a weirdness of modern language that this word has been invented recently and replaces an existing effective method with something generally a bit worse.

DLSS Swapper. An excellent program to update FSR, XeSS or DLSS to the latest version or any version you want to use in a game. I used it with The Witcher 3 updating the game to XeSS 2.0 and it worked like a charm.

This app isn't meant to let FSR and XeSS run on games that only have DLSS support, unlike some mods, but for games that support XeSS and so on, it lets you choose the exact version you want to run.

I used DLSS updater which seems to just scan your hard drive and blindly updates every upscaling game it finds which isn’t great. Will try Swapper.

does it work for you?

In my case it's working. I remember trying to update XeSS libraries in Shadow of the Tomb Raider manually before and I broke XeSS (it wasn't available in the main menu). With this, I set XeSS to the newest version and the game is working normally

Updater worked fine but I haven’t tried swapper yet. Swapper looks like it has a much better UI and functionality though. Had to roll back the driver to one that doesn’t support DLSS 4. The latest Nvidia driver was flaky as hell for me. No problems after rolling back. Will try Swapper once I get a stable driver.

yes, the UI is very easy to use, and splitted into different stores, which is also a plus. Also you get to know when a game is DLSS compatible or not just watching at the game's cover.
