Positioning has been and will always be determined by performance and features not by naming.
We don’t need to guess. AMD explicitly stated they changed the name to align with Nvidia’s naming. Either way that’s not related to my point on pricing vs the 7800 XT.

That's roughly what has made the most sense.
Playing around with the specs and numbers since the ~240mm2 rumor and trying to place them with consideration of "current" GPU pricing.
FPS/Performance numbers are roughly based on TPU performance summary numbers. For at least the N48 numbers it appears to be close to "worst case" performance according to the leaks.
* Are my later estimates and pricing is due to those SKUs might come later after some pricing adjustments/competition.

So now it’s “the software isn’t ready”. But I thought it was because they didn’t have enough time on stage, and would have an event in “a few weeks”.
Sounds like DLSS level image generation is turning out to be more difficult than they anticipated.
They weren’t lying when they said no board partner has a full performance driver - it doesn’t exist. First time the truth leaked past their lips.

It's just damage control at this point.
There isn't any solid reason to postpone the launch this far for s/w - which was scheduled and planned so apparently the s/w was fine back in December and now it's somehow needs work.
Also this hasn't stopped them before. All FSR versions were launched some months or years even after the announcement at some card(s) launch event.
