Securely deleting files

What is the most effective way of deleting files from the recycle bin forever?

Have been asked by someone and haven't really looked into.. anyone offer any suggestions?

eraser is a free utility i use though there appear to be some bugs in the newest 5.86a version not doing the selected number of overwrite passes.

Yes I know.. what the hell are they doing with sensitive files on the server PC OS HDD!

Use the older build (5.7) of Eraser just to be safe, there are some issues with the newer versions.

right click "empty recycle bin" if im not mistaken
