A decent Bond movie?

Martin Campbell is competent enough... but he is no genious, that's for sure.
Maybe if EON had hired Tarantino and his proposed script, or maybe even Chris Nolan...

What i am really going to miss is Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. That character really grew on me, so its going to be really hard to re-adapt myself to a new bond.

Its like Indiana Jones, you would feel really weird seeing an Indiana Jones movie without Harrison Ford as Indiana.

I could understand that if the rest of the Brosnan films were as good as Goldeneye, but, you know ...

Now that's an 'interesting' rumor...

'Bond 22′ - the follow-up to Craig’s debut 007 movie ‘Casino Royale’, which is due to be released in November - will now see a homoerotic relationship develop between the suave spy and secret agent Felix Leiter, played by Jeffrey Wright.
A film insider said: "Bond will always be a hit with the ladies. But Daniel has a massive gay fan base and that can’t be ignored.

I saw that thing, and frankly I find the reasoning a tad rediculous. Keeping Bond strictly straight is not "ignoring" a "gay fanbase", that's nonsense.

...Then again, Bond always did strike me as overcompensating with his promiscuity with the ladies, as if he was trying too hard convincing people of his orientation... ;)

Caught the movie today and happily, it rocked my world. Craig is the way forward and his Bond is one that I believe could kill.

I thought it was horrible. If I wanted to watch poker I would have turned on ESPN 2, not gone to the movies.

Very different from other Bond movies (won't explain why due to fear of spoiling it for others). A bit long but quite good. The new Bond movie and actor are quite good.

The critics love this film.

It's at 96% on Rotten Tomatoes with 133 positive reviews and only 6 negative. That's absolutely amazing imo.
Absolutely. I remember remarking to a friend prior to the major reviews coming in that if it gets above 70% then it's a good Bond movie, and above 80% it's an excellent Bond movie and a good film in it's own right. 96% for this kind of film is totally unheard of. Just goes to show how much everyone has a soft-spot for James Bond done right...

I wasnt really too happy they told Brosnan they thought he was too old to be Bond anymore, and the new guy pouts his lips like mad, at least in 90% of the of the trailer and most of the movie (reminds me of something from Zoolander or something). I cant help but to start laughing everytime i see his face. Totally destroys the mood for me.

That took up about 10 minutes of the movie. You're shocked you saw a film titled Casino Royale and it included gambling?

Best Bond film in 20 years, though Eva Green is flat-out ugly compared to the wife Bond took to his room early in the film. Now *that* was a gorgeous woman.

So is it Caterina Murino:

Or Ivana Miličević:

Although from the picts I see Eva Green looks pretty cute when she ain't got goth eye-makeup on:
